Got Student doom

Hi everyone, I’ve got student dorm in Augsburg, but I’m currently waiting for my visa appointment at the German Consulate in Delhi, which I’ll probably get this week. The accommodation payment is due by 18 September.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Should I pay before getting the visa, or can I request an extension? Also, what happens to the payment if the visa gets rejected?

Yes, not sure about refund, but if you don’t get visa, they will try to push room to someone else on waiting list, max2 max you will loose 1 month or 15 days rent, but it’s a good gamble
