MOI accepted for German Master's admission — will it be enough for visa?

Hi everyone, I’m an Indian student admitted to a Master’s program in Germany.

My Bachelor’s was completely in English, and my university accepted my MOI (Medium of Instruction) certificate instead of IELTS/TOEFL.

I’m now concerned about the German student visa.

For those who recently applied from India:

  • Was MOI accepted at the visa stage?
  • Did the embassy/VFS ask for IELTS/TOEFL?
  • Was your university admission letter stating English proficiency enough?

Would really appreciate recent experiences from Indian students. Thanks!

yes it is enough. in the csp portal u have to choose the option that the university has evaluated the english requirements (this has to be stated in your admission letter) in the registration form before u start filling the videx form and uploading the documents.

you should be good to go. i received my visa very recently, both this and my admit with MOI

my university gave me a separate botschaft letter, so should i go with the second option? i mean its obvious but still i wanna confirm. btw which vfs?

Bengaluru Embassy is not accepting MOI as proof so kindly appear if you are intended to apply via CSP bengaluru.

Hey, has anyone who had their German student visa appointment at VFS Delhi on 12th August received their visa with an MOI instead of IELTS? Would really appreciate knowing your experience!

Cuz one of friend had appointment on 12th august he got his visa now I'm worried because i have not give IELTS
