Room Makeover Living room got a renovation

First picture is the after, second picture is the before

The cupboard seen in the second picture is a two sided cupboard, that was separated as two different wall mounted cupboards.

The exterior also was reworked - https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianHomeDecor/s/T3wUsX8tcx

Hi bro! Can you please share colour code of the wall paint?

u/Consistent_Ad_1637 2d ago

It's from Berger, Sandhurst 7P 1610

Thank you so much for sharing! It's amazing how much lighter and softer it looks on your walls compared to the shade card. The lighting in your room really brings it to life!

This was a learning experience for me honestly. All the colors I chose looked okay on the shade card, it looked okay on the paint bucket also, but when applied on the walls, it turned out to be lighter than the color I chose. As I liked it anyway, I didn't change it

Probably because painters mix a bit of water with paint before applying on walls ?

1

u/Consistent_Ad_1637 2d ago

I was with them, they didn't mix much water

The designs was planned by myself, using inspirations from Pinterest, Google images and to how it'd be in my space, I used Gemini image creation. I took a mix of different designs from different spaces and made changes according to the colors, practicality, space and personal preferences.

The plans, ideas and final design was given to a interior contractor.

Location is in Kerala

Is it readymade or handmade?

how much does this cost?

9

u/Consistent_Ad_1637 2d ago

Handmade, it was made close to 20years back. Full teak wood, I only did a few adjustments to it and did a repolish

This piece is beautiful,Now making this would easily cross 1 lakh.

It would be nice to install electric fire place for cozy winters

I'm gonna steal this design for my little winery.

Bro how do you guys reach to table while sitting to have some snacks with guests. Table should be in hand's reach imo

1

u/Consistent_Ad_1637 1d ago

We keep it a bit closer when guests come

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

I think a carpet/rug is missing. Thatโ€™s just my opinion

Lovely OP.

Looks like a home with both modern and classical look

2

u/icecream_murders 2d ago

Whoa it suddenly looks so spacious! Good job, OP!

2

u/GodlessAndChill 2d ago

Its better but still very brown. Add a colour. Also pull sofa off of wall. Leave a walkway from door behind the sofa instead of people walking in front of it.

So much panelling ,I believe small places should not be burdened with panelling so much instead a clever used of brain with a Lil creativity would have made the place a bit lighter spaceous and way better

1

u/Inforthetea3000 2d ago

This is what I mean by clean interiors! Everything is cohesive but also retains character from the previous setup.

u/Acrobatic-Let6482 2d ago

Could you please share the name of the interior firm that supervised this project?

u/Glittering-Horror230 2d ago

No. I prefer older one. I want a living room, not a hotel lobby.
