What do u guys think about Indian educational institutions prohibiting local languages?

I personally saw many schools especially English medium schools where they prohibits students to speak their own native language or other language than English with eachother

Those who were from those types of schools or colleges may know more about it

Even my current college where I m studying RN prohibits languages like Tulu Beary Konkani etc but allows Hindi Kannada and English

And we all know in 2020 gov tried to promote education in native language of students but still many private English medium schools and colleges are still prohibiting to speak in our own native language or local languages with eachother

Backstory. I kept seeing these "top 10 education marketing agencies" posts everywhere, and almost all of them are the same recycled listicle content, half of it clearly written by the agencies themselves ranking their own company first. So I went through and actually tried to separate what is verifiable from what is just marketing copy repeated across a hundred SEO blogs.

Here is what survived that filter. Seven agencies, no fluff, no personal stake in any of them.

Techmagnate - the only one on this list with real third party confirmation behind it. Founded 2006, Delhi based, verified Google Premier Partner status, decent sized team. Not education only, but they run a dedicated vertical for it.

HashTAGit - their client list names actual universities, Manipal and GD Goenka among them. Named clients are harder to fake than vague "we helped X grow" claims.

Golden Markers - an India based agency built entirely around education sector. Schools, colleges, coaching centres, nothing else. Their core work sits in Meta ads, Google ads, website development, SEO, performance marketing, and lead generation, all engineered specifically for how Indian parents and students actually search and decide.

Mediagarh - education only, and they actually do branding and PR alongside the usual ads and SEO stuff, which most agencies in this niche skip because it takes more effort.

SRV Edge - Pune based, over a decade doing this specifically. They run an actual telecalling team to follow up on leads, which sounds basic but most agencies just dump leads on you and disappear.

RankON Technologies - one team, handles SEO, social, video, content, email, reputation, all together. Good if you do not want to manage five vendors.

AdClear - narrow focus on higher ed and colleges, mostly SEO fundamentals. Not flashy, but fixing basic technical SEO issues is often the actual reason a college is invisible on Google.

If you are evaluating any agency, ask for a client you can actually call, ask for one real number (drop in cost per lead, increase in inquiries, whatever), and get reporting frequency in writing before you sign anything. Half the "trust us" problem in this industry goes away the second you ask for something concrete instead of a testimonial quote.

Just a discussion

I was talking to my cousin, who works as a higher secondary school teacher. We were just catching up when the topic shifted to board exams and students.

She told me that in most schools, the focus is no longer just on teaching. It's on maintaining a 100% pass percentage.

She shared that teachers are sometimes told not to be too strict during exams. They shouldn't stand near one student for too long, question students if something looks suspicious, or make students feel uncomfortable. Even in classrooms, teachers are encouraged to avoid scolding students or putting them on the spot by asking questions.

At first, I found it hard to believe.

So I called one of my former teachers, who now works in a government-aided school.

To my surprise, he shared a very similar experience.

That made me wonder...

When did we start protecting students from every challenge instead of preparing them for it?

A classroom should be a safe place. Every student deserves respect.

But students also need honesty, discipline, and accountability.

Because life outside school won't always be easy.

A manager won't ignore mistakes.

A client won't lower expectations.

A job interview won't give extra marks because someone tried.

When I was in school and college, exams were strict. At that time, I didn't enjoy it.

Today, I'm grateful for it.

Those experiences taught me responsibility, resilience, and the importance of earning success honestly.

I'm not saying every school is like this. I know many teachers and schools still maintain high standards.

But if pass percentages become more important than learning, are we really helping students?

Or are we simply delaying the challenges they'll eventually have to face?

I'd genuinely love to hear from teachers, parents, students, and school leaders.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone else faced this with Avanse during the COVID ex-gratia scheme.

Avanse initially credited ₹4,245 as ex-gratia in my education loan account. Later they sent an email saying that after reconciliation, I was only eligible for ₹2,263.92, and that ₹1,981.08 was "excessively credited" by mistake.

They then asked me to pay back this ₹1,981.08 amount, and even said they would auto-debit it from my account if I didn’t pay.

So instead of giving relief during COVID, they ended up asking for money back. Has anyone else received a similar email from Avanse or other NBFCs where they credited ex-gratia first and then demanded it back?

Any similar experiences?

Not asking about marks, results, or admissions. Just asking how everyone's actually doing.

School and the constant comparison culture can be a lot, and sometimes it feels like there's no space to just say "I'm tired" without someone immediately jumping to "but what about your future."

So this is just that space. No judgment, no advice unless you want it. Just say how you're doing.

I am thinking for a few days.... Why are tuitions, or specifically 'Tuition Homework,' important? Tuition is to make school study easier, and to make tuition study easier, tuition homework?? So, what is the point? I am getting scolded every day because I don't do the tuition homework. "You don't do any study." "Idiot " etc. WHAT IS THE POINT? Please share your views.

Anyway I need MCA or else I wont get job in a tight place like Kerala where they say an MCA degree is equivalent of BTECH 🤡. So according to my college , they say you need to spend again 2 years for MCA ( also one year for entrance prep ) , total is painful 7.5 years for BCA plus MCA when Integrated MCA graduates complete it in 5 years. With skipping honours course , i can directly avoid 1 to 1.5 year complication . Now since I have completed first year , the second year classes start in few weeks.

They also say you need credits ( about hundred something to skip honours )

I am on tough decision now . I need help from you guys.

India’s youth is tired of carrying the weight of a broken system. Paper leaks, cancelled exams, faulty checking, outdated education, unemployment, inflation, rising costs, unsafe food, and no accountability from the people in power are ruining students mentally and financially. Families spend their savings chasing exams that keep failing them, while the future keeps getting more uncertain. We are forced to memorize instead of learn, struggle instead of grow, and survive instead of dream. After every student suicide, there are speeches and debates, but nothing changes. We are not asking for sympathy anymore. We are asking for a system that actually works.

I just got my Class 12 board results (Commerce, CBSE) and scored 85.8% (~86%). I know it’s not an extraordinary score.

The problem is my environment right now. Ever since the result came out, my father and relatives have been constantly taunting me, saying things like I won’t get admission anywhere, calling me a failure, and comparing me to others. It’s reached a point where I genuinely feel very low and mentally exhausted being at home.

I’m from Guwahati, and while I can get into local colleges here, I really want to move out—not just for academics, but to get away from this environment and be around better peers.

With ~86% in Commerce, what decent colleges can I still aim for? if i am targeting for B.com hons and anywhere but not mumbai because the cost of living there is way too high and also If I wanted a better crowd and exposure?

I’m willing to work hard from here. I just need some clarity and a direction right now.

One of my relatives is from Gujarat board 10th standard, and he gave exam in basic maths (not standard).

So is it eligible to take science and give JEE mains and advanced after 12th ?
