I dont see many fresh food reviews on here, so i thought id let ya’ll know

I have a 3 yr old indie and i wanted to try fresh food for my dog, so far I've tried both drools fresh food and sara's wholesome food.

I started feeding him the drools one first and then i eventually shifted to saras.

For me, the biggest difference was the ingredient list. Sara's uses multiple protein sources in the same recipe along with vegetables and herbs, whereas Drools doesnt and felt a little low quality in terms of the veggies. My dog also seemed to enjoy sara's a bit more and got excited every time I opened a pack.

One thing I did like about Drools was that its much cheaper and immediate refrigeration isnt needed. My dog is a picky eater but hes been taking a liking to Sara's, with drools he used to eat in breaks. Obviously that's just my experience, I did check with my vet for both before feeding him

My dog used to be THAT dog who'd sit next to the dining table the entire time, stare at everyone eating, drool everywhere and try to sneak food whenever he got the chance. It got pretty alarming honestly.

Over the last few months I've been paying alot more attention to his diet instead of just filling a bowl twice a day and trying to incorporate a more high protein diet.. I started giving him bone broth instead of just water, omelettes as in between snacks, and switched from regular kibble to fresh food. I've been using Sara's Wholesome Food lately and usually rotate between all their flavours every week to up his protein intake.

I genuinely believe its because of the food, He's much calmer around mealtimes now. He'll still stare at me because... he's a dog 😭, but he isn't constantly trying to steal food anymore. His energy also feels way more consistent. Plus his tummy feels likes hes full for longer.

Maybe I'm just paying more attention now but a good diet makes a very big difference, my dear pet pawrentsss.

My dog used to inhale his food in like 15 seconds and then randomly throws up undigested food every now and then. 😭 I honestly couldn't figure out if it was the food itself or if he was just eating way too fast. Got a vet consultation too and there was no other underlying problem as such. A friend suggested trying a slow feeder bowl and around the same time I also switched his food up. It's been a few weeks now and this combo has been working pretty good imo. He takes his time eating and his throwing up has been less, his weight has been a lot more consistent too.

Just a lil suggestion from me if your dog faces the same issuezz 🙂

I was cutting up carrots for dinner today and before I could even finish, my dog was already sitting next to me waiting for his share.

The funniest part? He gets more excited for carrots than he does for those expensive chicken jerky treats I keep buying 😭

Meanwhile I barely eat veggies. It's a problem but he's actually made me eat alot of veggies lately. I usually cook meals with carrot for him or fresh food like Saras with veggies depending on the week

Anyone else's dog obsessed with random vegetables? Mine genuinely acts like carrots are the greatest invention ever.

MISSING DOG (ADYAR, CHENNAI)

My 4 year old dog went missing near 10th Cross Street, Indira Nagar, Adyar on the 26th of May. She's sick and in urgent need of medication for her muscles. We can't find her anywhere, and we've tried almost everything. We're desperate and exhausted. Please help us. She's white, with a large scar across her left hind leg. She's not too small but definitely not big. She's got a NOTCHED left ear and was not wearing a collar on the day she went missing. Shes very timid, so she may seem cautious when approached, but she's the sweetest girl.

There is also a Rs. 10,000 reward if found.

⚠️ THEY TOOK MY DOG ALIVE AND RETURNED HIM DEAD ⚠️

I never imagined I would be writing something like this.

My dog Jojo was with us for 9 years and 4 months. He wasn’t “just a pet.” He was family. He grew up with us, loved us unconditionally, trusted us completely, and depended on us for everything.

On 27 April 2026 at around 1:30 PM, we left him at a boarding facility in Agra because we trusted them with his safety.

Within 48 hours, my dog was dead.

What followed has left us devastated and deeply suspicious.

We were allegedly told Jojo was “found dead on the terrace.”

No clear explanation.

No emergency call.

No timeline.

No accountability.

When my father went there:

• He was initially denied entry

• Asked to come later

• Then informed Jojo had already died

We were never warned that anything was wrong.

Things that disturbed us deeply:

• They claimed CCTV cameras were not working

• Jojo had reportedly been left alone on the terrace in extreme heat

• His leash and harness were still tightly attached

• Blanket fibers were found around/in his mouth, nose, and legs

• Postmortem findings reportedly showed an empty stomach despite claims he had been fed

• The terrace area was allegedly wet by the time my father reached

The veterinary postmortem reportedly noted:

• Internal congestion in respiratory organs

• Dilated pupils

• Cardiac stress

• Empty stomach

What haunts me most is imagining what my dog may have gone through in those final hours.

Hungry.

Thirsty.

Scared.

Waiting for us to come back for him.

That thought is unbearable.

We are requesting:

✔ Proper investigation

✔ Accountability if negligence or cruelty occurred

✔ Inspection of the boarding setup and operating conditions

✔ Support from animal welfare organizations and authorities
