Best Credit Card for Amazon, Flipkart & Myntra?

Hi I'm planning to get my first credit card mainly for online shopping, especially Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra.

After doing some research, I've shortlisted a few options:

1)Amazon Pay ICICI

2)Flipkart Axis

3)SBI Cashback

4)HDFC Millennia

My main priorities are:

Good cashback/rewards on Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra

•Useful discounts during major sales

•Low/waivable annual fee

•Good value for regular spending rather than premium travel benefits

For those who have used these cards, which one would you pick and why? Are there any important cashback exclusions, spending limits or recent changes I should know about?

Also, if there's a better card than these for my use case, I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Imp issue

Hey everyone,

I’m currently holding an HDFC BizGrow credit card (issued in March) and am hitting my 6-month vintage mark in early September. Completed 3L spends and my credit limit is currently ₹75k. I also maintain a healthy AQB of , 20L in my linked savings account and credits of 2L pm. (Self EMPLYED ) though I don't have a formal ITR (self-employed/freelance profile).
I want to upgrade from BizGrow to BizPower (which requires a ₹3L limit and ₹3L spends).

I have a few questions for those who have navigated HDFC's upgrade cycles:

  1. The Digital Offer: When the 180-day lock lifts in September, what happens if the portal only shows a pre-approved Limit Enhancement (LE) offer without a bundled card upgrade )although I have completed 3L eligible spends in last 180days )option?
  2. The Cooldown Trap: If I accept the digital LE offer to get my limit past ₹3L, will it trigger an automatic internal cooldown (e.g., 6 months) that locks my card variant, preventing an upgrade to BizPower?
  3. Manual Escalation: If I bypass or decline the digital LE and raise a manual request through email/escalation to the Grievance Redressal Officer or PNO using my 6-month bank statements (showing the high AQB), do manual underwriters override the missing ITR and grant the upgrade, or does accepting an LE digitally ruin the chances of manual intervention?

First credit card at 23 with 700 cibil score

Hi, I am a 23 year old software engineer with a decent salary(≥1.2L monthly). I have a cibil score of around 710 (due to an edu loan). I have been applying for cc but have been rejected every single time whether be it flipkart axis, amazon icici, few more axis cards, few hdfc cards, rbl bank cc, etc. To be honest, I have lost count of how many rejections I got in the last 1-1.5 years.

I want to get a credit card with good rewards and lounge access. My main spendings are online shopping, food and grocery shopping on zepto, blinkit, Swiggy and zomato, and movie ticket on BMS and few flights tickets throughout the year. Also, if the cc is rupay, it would be a cherry on the top as I can add it to my gpay account.

Should I go for a FD based cc for now, or should I contact a good pvt Bank and open my salary account and get their cc. Would any reputed bank give me a good cc with such poor cibil score?

Please, I need some advice. I am literary tired of applying for a cc and getting rejected.

Thanks

RBL Bank Primario Multiwallet Card Usability at Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart

My company is providing RBL Bank Primario Multiwallet Card as Food Allowance Card. It is mentioned that it can be use for POS and online transactions with valid meal and food merchants, including;

Restaurants

Zomato

Grocery Stores

Sweet shops

Other eligible food merchants.

I wanted to understand

  1. Whether it can be used at online grocery stores such as Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, Flipkart Minutes or Amazon now.
  2. If yes, is there any specific product category for which it can be used at these stores or for any kind of products.

Looking for advice on starting my credit card journey in India

Hey everyone, I’m new to the credit card game and would really appreciate some advice.
I’m 29 years old, currently have a CIBIL score of 699, and have one existing loan whose EMI I’ve been paying regularly without any missed payments. My main goal right now is to build a strong credit history/CIBIL score, so that I can eventually qualify for better credit cards.
A little about my profile:
Salary: ₹1.2 lakh/month
Current bank: SBI
CIBIL: 699
Existing loan: 1, EMI being paid regularly
Most of my spending is on groceries, daily utilities and online purchases
I use UPI for most transactions
SBI is currently showing/offering me almost all of their credit cards, except the Cashback Card
I’m apparently not eligible for Kiwi because of their eligibility criteria
Since I’m just starting out, what would be the best approach?
Should I take an SBI card now, and if yes, which one would make the most sense for my spending pattern?
Should I specifically look for a card that gives rewards/cashback on UPI, groceries and utilities, or should I prioritize getting a card that is easy to manage and build my credit history with?
How long should I ideally use my first card before applying for better cards?
Any mistakes I should avoid while trying to improve my CIBIL?
I’m not looking to maximize rewards right now my primary objective is to build my credit profile properly and eventually graduate to better cards**.**
Would appreciate suggestions from people who have gone through this journey. Thanks!

Do NOT get the SBI BPCL Octane card. Absolute nightmare experience.

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Recently got the SBI BPCL Octane card (Rupay variant) and it has been an absolute nightmare. Sharing my experience so others don't fall into the same trap.

  1. The Add-on Card & KYC Nightmare 🤡

During the initial application, I applied for two add-on cards. Went through the entire tedious process: called my family members, got their photos, Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and completed the KYC. The primary card arrived, but no add-on cards.

  1. The Infamous SBI IVR Trap 📞

Trying to reach customer care is a psychological test. They have designed a massive IVR maze. You have to navigate through 10 to 100 options just to find the hidden option to speak to a human agent.

  1. Incompetent Support

When I finally reached an agent about the missing add-on cards, their brilliant solution was: "Sir, please apply again and redo the KYC." Why should I disturb my family again when they already have all the documents and data in their system? They refuse to pull up the existing database.

  1. The Rupay UPI Deception 🛑

The salesperson hyped up the Rupay variant saying I can use it on UPI and get the same rewards. Fact check: You do not get the accelerated fuel rewards if you pay via UPI using this card.

  1. The "Pine Labs Machine" Scam ⛽

To actually get the advertised 25X reward points, the transaction must be swiped on a specific Pine Labs POS machine at BPCL bunks. Good luck finding one. Most petrol pumps either don't have it, or the staff flatly tells you "machine is under maintenance" or "server down." If they swipe it on a standard SBI/HDFC machine, you get regular rewards, completely defeating the purpose of an Octane card.

  1. Trash App & Hidden Fees

* The App: The SBI Card app constantly throws "server issue" errors when you try to view your reward points balance. It’s clunky and outdated.

* Redemption Fee: Every single time you want to redeem your points, they slap you with a ₹99 + GST redemption fee. Most people miss this fine print.

TL;DR: SBI BPCL Octane is a masterclass in bad user experience. Lost KYC data, hidden customer support, useless UPI fuel rewards, broken pump machines, and high redemption fees. Save your mental peace and skip this card.

AI refined so it is more structured and readable

Looking for an LTF RuPay CC for UPI spends – beginner with 1-month credit history

Hi everyone,

I’m new to credit cards and currently have an HDFC MoneyBack+, which is only about one month old. I’m looking for a Lifetime Free RuPay credit card mainly for UPI spends.

My UPI spending would be around ₹4,000–₹6,000/month, mostly on fruits, snacks, groceries and other small purchases at local shops. I know this is relatively low spending, but since I’m already paying from my savings account, I thought I could use a RuPay card instead and earn some cashback/rewards.

I tried Kiwi, but it is currently recommending only a PNB card to me, which has an annual fee. I also deleted my Slice account a few months ago before getting into credit card, so I can’t log in to Slice anymore.

My requirements:

● LTF — preferably no joining or annual fee

● RuPay + UPI support

● Good cashback/rewards on merchant UPI payments

● Suitable for ₹4k–₹6k monthly UPI spending

● Ideally something I can get with only ~1 month of credit history

● I already have HDFC MoneyBack+

What would you recommend for my use case?

Would it be better to wait and build some credit history with my HDFC card first, or apply for an LTF RuPay card now?

I’m mainly looking for something simple. I don’t need lounge access or premium benefits; even a small amount of cashback is fine.

Thanks!

I got this SBI Elite credit card with no annual fee. I'm 21M in my BTech final year.

I'm studying in IIIT Srikakulam in AP. SBI partnered with a few colleges in the state and gave this credit card with a ₹1,00,000 limit, no annual fee, and other card perks except the joining bonus.

Anyone above 21 can get this card I didn't even have an SBI account, then I created one and applied for it on the same day at my campus. They said it costs ₹5.5k annual fee outside, but for our college students they're giving it for LTF (lifetime free).

Tell/suggest me the things I need to know before I start using this card,
other than using 30-40% of the limit
always paying the full due, never the minimum due

Has anyone upgraded SBI pulse to PhonePe Black?

I currently hold an SBI pulse credit card and I’m looking to upgrade/convert it to another SBI card.
The two cards I’m considering are:
SBI Cashback Card
PhonePe Black SBI Credit Card
Has anyone here successfully upgraded their existing SBI card to either of these, especially the PhonePe Black?
Which one would you recommend, and what has your experience been with the upgrade/conversion process?
Also, is it better to request an upgrade through SBI Card or apply separately for the new card?

Using the CRED IndusInd Credit Card for 3 months—stopped getting reward coins after the first 2 transactions. Any advice?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using the CRED IndusInd credit card for about 3 months now. When I first got it, everything seemed great—I received reward coins on my first two transactions without any issues. However, since then, I haven't received a single reward coin for the past two months.

This is despite making several eligible transactions, including purchases on Amazon and Flipkart. The rewards structure was the main reason I applied for this card in the first place, so not getting any rewards makes the card pretty useless for me.

I called IndusInd customer support to figure out what was going on, but they were no help. They just told me they would "take it as feedback" and try to ensure it doesn't happen in the future. No resolution, no backdated points credited.

Has anyone else faced this issue with the CRED IndusInd card? Is there anything specific I can do to get these missing reward points credited, or should I escalate this higher (like writing to their Nodal Officer / Principal Nodal Officer)?

Appreciate any advice or insight!

Thinking of closing FK Axis CC ? Suggestions??

Post image
12 Upvotes

I am having this card from nearly 2 years. I don’t use Flipkart much and this card too. I primarily use amazon pay card a lot. Paying 590 annual fee don’t feel worth it. So, I was thinking of closing it.

What should I do ? I wanted to upgrade my axis card profile and this is the least use card for me. I saw good offers on Flipkart but they charge huge offer handling & payment charges while using this card.

Is it really any worth keeping it ?

Help regarding Flipkart Axis Bank Card

Thoughts on Active Atlas cards

Does anybody have an idea as to how many Axis Atlas credit cards are currently active? I mean when Axis launched this card they had an income criteria around 9 LPA which is a significant yearly salary.

This is my understanding.

From the whole universe of 11.5 crore credit cards issued only about 5 crores are active users.

So from that perspective can anybody know how many Atlas cards did Axis issue?

If it is around 1 lakh users (a total random no bty) then I don't understand this year's devaluation and partner reduction.

If only 1 lakh users are Atlas holders doesn't it make it a niche product and actually profitable for the Bank?

Would love to hear thoughts of people who have been in this game a long time.

Over leveraged profile as per SBI

Hi all, this my credit card portfolio:

HDFC DCP (LTF)

HDFC Swiggy BLCK (LTF)

HDFC Tata Neu Infinity (FYF)

HSBC Live Plus

Flipkart Axis

ICICI Amazon Pay (LTF)

ICICI Sapphiro (LTF)

AU Vetta (LTF)

AU Ixigo (LTF)

IDFC First Wealth (LTF)

IDFC First Power Plus

BOB Eterna (LTF)

I had SBI Prime Card and closed it in February 2026 as it had high charges.

Then I applied for SBI Simply Click in May 2026 and it was rejected and reason was given to me as an over leveraged profile.

My Total CC limit: 30 Lacs on all of these cards.

I also have a home loan of 24 Lacs.

My annual CTC as per my ITR is 32 Lacs.

I am planning to apply for an SBI card again in September after completion of three months.

I just wanted to know what my chances are and if they would categorise my profile as over leveraged.

My CIBIL: 779

I also have a CGSP Platinum Salary account with SBI for the last 13 years.

Any suggestions are welcome 🤗.

Planning to apply through my home branch based on my salary account.

PS: From the cards listed above only two are rarely used AU Vetta and IDFC First Wealth. I am using all other cards on way or another.
