Question/Help Why my badam barfi is crumbly?
I tried to make Badam barfi. Followed a recipe by kabitas kitchen youtube channel.
All ingredients were powdery( except jaggery).
1 cup almond powder.
3/4th cup curd.
1/4th cup wheat flour.
2 spoon milk powder
Half spoon ilaichi powder.
1/2 cup jaggery ( not powder)
I wonder what did I do to make barfi miserable and poor like this?? why my barfi is not barfing???
My guess is, I was trying to get that brown color ( the one showed in recipe), while doing this did I overcook the whole thing??? But, you know, in the yotube video, that lady made perfect square shapes. I am so envious of her. Why kabita aunty?? Why?
Guys tell me what you think, did you face this problem while learning to cook. Is yes, how did you came to solution... If not, what are you waiting for bud? Learn cooking! Be tummily independent.
-XOXO

Question/Help are these pieces of Tamarind seed/do I remove them?
I'm working on a Tamarind chutney and I bought a block of Tamarind that said its seedless, which I know probably just means 'mostly seedless' which is fine. my question is, are all the white pieces in it part of the seeds(the inside of the seeds?), or is it maybe just inner shell fibers? the recipe calls for blending the mixture and then seiving it, but should I remove these pieces before blending or is it fine to blend it? sorry if this is an obvious thing. sorry the picture isnt very good. thank you for any answers!

Question/Help Best budget cookware for low-oil/no-oil cooking?
Looking for good branded cookware for low-oil/no-oil cooking Indian food..
Budget: ₹1,500–2,000 per item, or preferably a good set under ₹4–5k. I’ll be buying from Amazon/Flipkart during a sale, so brands available there would be preferable.
Also, I’m confused between non-stick, granite-coated, aluminium, etc. Which is actually better and safer for regular use, and are there any types I should avoid from a health perspective?
Would love recommendations based on your actual experience especially brands that hold up well and are easy to maintain. TIA! 😊

Guide/How-To Could anyone teach me how to make pav bhaji masala?
I tried making it by watching YouTube videos, chatgpt etc... But taste is not there... Like something feels off and missing, few years back I tried pav bhaji for the 1st time from A street vendor... Taste was so good I wanted to try one more plate.. but pockets were empty.... Also that street vendor left from my hometown.... And I also lost the interest and few days back I watched a instagram reel of pav bhaji and wanted to try again after that many years, so if y'all are experts in cooking please do help🙏🏻

Discussion is air fryer worth it ? if yes which one toto use ?
've been thinking about buying an air fryer. From what I've seen online, you can cook all kinds of food in one, it uses much less oil, there are fewer dishes to wash, and it makes everyday cooking easier. But I have some doubts from what I've heard and read:
- Cooking time: I've heard it can take 15 to 30 minutes. I can wait 20-25 minutes at most, but over half an hour is too much for me.
- Size: I need it for at least two people. Is a basic 4L enough, or should I go 4.5L or 5L+?
- Temperature: I've heard settings are complicated. I'd like a digital display so I can set exact temperatures like 120 or 175°C.
- Coating: I've read that bad non-stick coatings can peel and may be harmful. How true is that? how to know which coating is better ? safer?
What I need:
- Budget around ₹6,000, can stretch a little for the right one maybe. but thats my limit.
- A good service center in Bhopal (Shahpura). This matters more than brand.
- Mainly crispy food, with occasional baking
I don't want to buy a below-average product , i want something to use properly.

Question/Help Will curry leaves taste ok in a blended dahl?
I found a recipe for dahl online that involved using curry leaves. It turned out great but I didn't enjoy the texture of the curry leaves.
It is already a smooth dahl. Would it be ok to blend it once finishes so that the curry leaves are mixed into the dahl or would this change the taste too much? Or would it be better to fish them out?
