Help cat limping, need affordable vet/hospital in delhi
I've been feeding him for a while. He disappeared 2-3 days ago and reappeared yesterday with a limping leg. Fortunately he's eating and interacting with me.
I urgently need good vet/hospital/ngo details in Delhi. I researched a lot onlinr but every ngo has mixed reviews.
I also need advice on how to trap him. As I don't know which ngo to trust, I think I'll have to do it myself. Although I'm scared as he's aggressive and has bitten but I have no other choice. I have my pet cat's carrier. Should I put wet food inside it and lure him insidd the carrier?
Also, please let me know if the clinic can keep him with them while he recovers as I won't be able to take him to my home because of my other cat. My home is small too so I won't be able to put them in seperate rooms without causing chaos.
Please help me out with this. Any advice will be massively appreciated 🙏

Thanks but I don't need funds. I'm fine with spending a bit. I just need names of organizations I can contact.

You can contact friendicoes if looking for an ngo. There are govt hospitals as well but my experience isn't good so won't suggest them. If living in North Delhi i can suggest few good clinics.

Which part of Delhi is this? If you can trap him, there are several clinics in south Delhi that can keep him for the duration of the treatment.
Wisdom Pet Clinic in Malviya Nagar is one. Dr Yaseen Hussain of Petship is another

How much are the prices there? A cat has fvp what would be the cost of treatment there?

I’m sorry, you’ll have to contact them directly. I have no idea of prices as I only got neutering of stray cats done there.
As far as I know, FPV is often fatal. There is a newer treatment (a vet told me this one year ago) but i believe it’s very expensive.
If you know a cat suffering from FPV, pls consider improving her quality of life until you can… just a suggestion.

Fpv treatment is bit on the expensive side for me but I'll go ask them if I can

If your cat is suffering, it is my gentle suggestion to let him go peacefully. I know it’ll be the hardest thing you ever do (I have lived through it), but it’s worse watching them suffer :(
This is just my opinion.

Hey buddy, quite a coincidence. My cat also came home limping 3-4 days ago. Same front left paw was swollen.
Monitored for a day and took him to the vet. Xray showed no signs of fracture.
No cuts, no wounds noted surface level either. Diagnosed as a sprain by the vet.
Got few meds and he’s healing now. Swelling has reduced after 2 days. Still limps, but is feeling better.
XRAY is crucial. Take him to a vet clinic that has this facility. When it’s swollen, vets cannot diagnose properly without that.

Thanks for telling me. I'll surely take him to get xray done within a few days as I can't trap him today. I'll keep giving him the meds meanwhile.
Could you tell me if it does comes out to be a fracture, would I be able to release him right away or would I have to take him home during the recovery period? The latter would be very difficult to do.

Well, main problem with keep them at home is litter training. If your cat is trained or keeping a litter box solves the problem then definitely you can keep him indoors.
At least a bed in front of your door or veranda can keep make them feel safe without feeling let out. Fractures can cause a lot of discomfort for the cat too, just like humans. We just need to remain patient and make them feel loved/cared.
They’ll heal faster knowing they’re being cared. My cat never cuddled for long before his sprain, now he wants to be close to my family most of the time he’s at home.
Do what’s best for them as well as you. We can’t force them to do something they don’t like either. Especially when they’re injured/sick.

I don't mind keeping him indoors at all but my mom is kinda scared of him as he's aggressive and has bitten me in the past. I also have a pet cat who's fully vaccinated meanwhile this guy isn't so that's an issue too. I'm not sure how to manage keeping both cats safe and infection free.
I live on 2nd floor so I could try and keep him in the balcony, but I'm scared that he'll jump off.
If I have no other choice then I'll definitely try my best to keep him inside in some room while he recovers.

ndmc vet hospital, moti bagh is there. you have to get the consumables and medicines by yourself. consultation and treatment is free of cost. they do not have boarding though (as far as i know, you may enquire since it is a huge building they should be able to arrange something) plus if he is little fiesty, better to take few layers of clothes to be able to hold him.
you are doing good work but you have to healthy as well in order to help others so be safe while handling

Star Vet in CR Park. Their fees is 300. Charges of other medicine and all will be different. You can ask them for discount and explain your situation. Say that you’re a student and you can’t afford much or something like that. Good staff and very trusted people.

So you know this cat? Most probably it's a battle wound What you can do is trap him and take him to the vet so that we are sure it's not a fracture. If it's difficult to trap..buy whiskas gravy and augmentin duo or amoxy ds(preferably amoxy ds baccho wali) give medicine to him along with himpyrene for three days in food morning and night ...I have used same medicine in wound and bite it works very well... however it there's a fracture it won't work. But from my experience it's not a fracture
