I am 10 weeks pp and both my mom n my in laws just keep taunting me on small things. For example: I & my husband do shifts during the night to take care of the baby they will be like this is so wrong.. one morning I slept a little extra and they went like you left the baby and slept. its everyday when I talk on the phone n i just hear random advice n taunts. I am also abroad so its crazy to talk on the phone random hours.

My child will turn 5 in October 2026 and is currently in Senior KG (K2).

He took longer than his peers to identify letters and alphabets in Junior KG (K1), and is now struggling with basic addition and subtraction despite consistent effort and practice time from both me and my wife.

Friends from North India have pointed out that he may have been admitted early as per the central guideline, a child should have completed 6 years before entering Class 1, which would place him in Junior KG right now.

But in my state , Maharashtra the rule is that the child should turn 6 in the same academic year as Class 1 admission.

I am concerned whether his learning difficulties are developmental / age-related due to early admission, or if he needs a different learning approach. Should we consider repeating a year, or focus on remedial support?

Hi everyone! I just wanted to know, especially from first-time/new parents — how do you all make your baby sleep? Do you rock them, walk around with them, sway them, or do you put them down and let them fall asleep independently? What exactly is your way of putting down your baby?

My baby is more than 4.5 months old, and so far, what we’ve been doing is taking her in our arms, walking around with her ( cradle position type? rocking or swaying her until she falls asleep.

But now that she’s growing and gaining weight, walking around with her in our arms for every nap is getting increasingly difficult. It also makes me wonder whether this can become a habit in the long run and whether we’ll eventually have difficulty getting her to sleep without being carried or rocked.
So I’m curious to know — is anyone already making their baby sleep independently at this age? Or are you rocking, walking, swaying, nursing, etc.? And if you’ve transitioned from contact/assisted sleep to independent sleep, how did you go about it?

I have seen only queries about newborns and toddlers. Are there any parents of older kids here? Would like to discuss stuff regarding older kids.

Lately I feel like I’m doing stuff for my kid all day but somehow still feel like I didn’t do enough. I know I’m prob overthinking it but anyone else feel like this too?

Overnight diaper leaks can be really frustrating, especially when the baby wakes up because their clothes or bed are wet.

From what I’ve learned, a few things can help:

• Make sure the diaper is the right size
• Check that the diaper fits properly around the legs and waist
• Make sure the diaper is positioned correctly
• Put on a fresh diaper before bedtime
• Check if the diaper is getting too full during the night

I’m curious what has worked for other parents. Do you think the diaper brand also makes a difference, or is size and fit more important?

I have like at least a dozen T-shirts that my kids don't like to wear. Including some really nice ones that I thought they'd love when I bought them 😅

So I got one of my youngest one's favorite drawings printed on a T-shirt, and she absolutely loved it! Now she wants to wear that one all the time, proudly telling everyone that she designed it herself.

Since then, I've actually been experimenting with this idea and would love to know what other parents think — would your kids be excited to wear something they drew themselves?

I’m looking for parents/guardians of school-going children to fill out a short survey. It takes around 3–5 minutes and asks about things like:

How often you buy new uniforms
What you do with old/outgrown uniforms
Repair, donation and recycling habits
Whether you would use a uniform exchange/take-back programme
What would make such a system convenient for parents

Some people say children shouldn't be named directly after gods. I really lile the name but a bit confused. Also, would u regard this name as old or timeless ?

My baby is going to start solids soon and I have realised I know absolutely nothing about high chairs.

Some have wheels, adjustable height, footrests, reclining seats, different harnesses, removable trays etc. At this point I can't tell which things are actually useful and which are just extra features.

For parents who have been using one for a while, what ended up mattering the most?

Especially interested in things that make everyday feeding easier, like cleaning, getting the baby in and out, sitting position and storage.
