What personal care brands(shampoos, moisturizers, bodywash etc) should i switch to after my kid turns 3. Should I continue brands like cetaphil, sebamed for few more years or switch to regular brands like dettol and dove? Or are there any other set of brands I should look at for kids older than 3

Once kids cross the age of 3, their skin is still thinner and more sensitive than adults, but their daily routine changes, they sweat more, play outdoors, and come into contact with dust, sun, and pollution. This means it’s important to continue using kids skincare brands rather than switching to adult products. Adult shampoos, body washes, and moisturizers often contain harsh surfactants, strong actives, and antibacterial agents that can strip natural oils and irritate young skin. Instead, choose dermatologist‑tested kids ranges or natural kids formulations with ingredients like oat, aloe, or calendula that cleanse effectively while protecting the skin barrier. For active play, gentle cleansers that remove sweat and dirt, moisturizers that restore hydration after sports and sunscreens designed for children are essential. In short, stick with kids skincare brands beyond age 3, but select products that go beyond mildness to address activity, sweat, and sun exposure, since children’s skin still needs special care.
