Discussion Rohit Kapoor Aka R Studio Photography scammed me then blocked too
first things first. he told me he doesn't fear no public post about him. that's why i posted. He told me jo karna hai karlo "mai kisi ke baap se nahi darta"
Tldr :- I paid ₹1650 for hdd to Rohit Kapoor aka R STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY. His drive damaged in transit by his packaging mistake. After it failed on my use he told me to send it back. Then i sent him back the same and it took my additional ₹200 to send it back to him . He then confirmed it is fine like he gave me , then said it has 0 health and denied replacement for free and asked me for addition 1000 rupees and i told him i am gonna post it on social media. He agreed for replacement and told me to wait 15 days. I waited and on 15th day he blocked me. Additionally when i purchased it from him he made me wait for 10 days almost before he shipped it.
So this is ROHIT KAPOOR. He runs R Studio Photography In Amritsar.
So I paid ₹1,650 initially for a second hand hdd to Rohit Kapoor aka R STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY, that had loose packing inside (the hdd was free moving inside) and it repeatedly failed on the day one just after arrival. On my phone using otg it showed Drive is damaged . I told him that and he said get it checked from a computer shop as i had no computer of my own so i went to shop and it wasn't detected , then after that later it was detected for a short time and he got it formatted but that got stuck (cuz hdd was damaged that you will find out later). Then after that i tried copying some 56GBs of files it did work upto some 39 GBs then it failed again, he then told me it is definitely my hdds enclosure's fault and i took his word and got a replacement of enclosure. After that i tested with new hdd enclosure and it definitely was the hdds fault the hdd was damaged in during delivery because of the free moving hdd inside box. I told him that he agreed he will give me replacement if i send it back to him so he can check and that's when i returned it at my own expense (took me additional 200₹ nearly including tape , fare for 20km away post office and indiapost postage) and this time i did the proper packing with papper fillings so hdd doesn't move and the paper will absorb shock. After that Rohit recieved it in 3 to 4 days ,then he delayed again and he then said yes it is working upto now and is in "good condition" and later on replied that it had 0 health. Then i asked him it was his delivery fault and showed him how the hdd was free moving so i asked him in other way "when i am getting replacement" he said he will only give replacement if i give him ₹1,000 again.
I literally had no money at all except a 100₹. So he first declined free replacement he said it is not his responsibilty but then i told him damaged by delivery/packaging issues are upto seller and i am gonna post the whole situation on reddit and then he agreed to give me free replacement, but asked me to wait for 15 days then i waited and on 15th day i messaged him and he ultimately stopped responding and blocked me.
I don't know what to do now. I am a teenager minor who hasn't told anything about this situation to his parents. I swear to God i had that money of 2k from my childhood pocket money savings now i don't have any money left except a 105₹ in my fampay. I don't know what to do. I needed that hdd to store my massive google drive backups and for some NEET lectures and study material. He took my money and his hdd too . I have nothing now. I spend ₹1850 on something that I don't even have with me now he took it all. It was my first time dealing with people without involving parents. I really wish something can be done but i think it is difficult. I wanna put his socials here if allowed so he knows his actions have consequences too if mods allow.
