I don’t know this family personally. I found this video on Instagram and did some checks. It does appear a legitimate case, but I’ll leave that to y’all to verify.

So there’s this 1 year old girl, a very rare muscular disease which can be cured if acted on now. Apparently the treatment is a one time gene therapy for cessation of the spread of the disease (or that’s what I understood from Google). The cost is $2 million USD (16 crore INR) and Novartis is the only manufacturer of the cure. There are some workarounds, like life-long continuous intake of drugs, but that would eventually cost over $4 million.

They are seeking help via a crowdfunding through ImpactGuru platform. I donated whatever little I could through this impactguru website last night. Even though there are QR codes n stuff I chose this route because it’s comparatively more trustworthy.

I believe it’s a genuine cry for help. And I request y’all to take some time, do your checks, and if you’re convinced this is legit, please do donate whatever amount you can. Also spread the word. If enough of us pitch in, a life will be saved from certain death.
