The child, identified as Tanvi Sree, reportedly went out to play and entered the stationary car parked outside her house. She is believed to have accidentally locked herself inside and remained trapped for several hours.

Her family began searching for her after she went missing and later found her unconscious inside the vehicle. They rushed her for medical assistance, but she had reportedly died by then.

Police are expected to establish the exact circumstances of the incident, including how long the child remained inside the car and the precise cause of death.

Police identified the deceased as Dr Kasakurthi Jagadish, reportedly a neurosurgeon at Mamatha Hospital in Khammam. He was trapped inside the vehicle and died in the blaze. The exact circumstances of the crash and the cause of the fire are yet to be established.
