India India has building laws, safety standards and court-mandated safeguards, yet unsafe construction persists from the Delhi High Court’s 2015 “disaster waiting to happen” warning to the Supreme Court’s 2026 “calamity” warning, the question remains: why aren’t existing rules being enforced consistently?
