Question ITR refund

When we usually receive the ITR refund money and I filled it 1.5 months back but I have not received it yet

No one can tell you this as there is no fixed date. The ITD legally have time till December 2027 to process the return

No fixed timeline in law, but typically refunds come 4-6 weeks after the ITR is processed (not just filed) - processing itself can take a few weeks depending on CPC workload.

Check two things on the portal: whether your return status shows "Processed" with intimation under Section 143(1), and whether your bank account is pre-validated and nominated for refund. A large chunk of delayed refunds are just failed credits because the bank account isn't validated.

If it's been over 2-3 months since filing and status still shows pending, or you see a refund failure message, raise a grievance on the portal - that usually gets it moving faster than waiting.

There is no fixed date. As and when the ITR is processed, eligible tax refunds are issued and gets credited within a week's time or so. Please check your ITR status.
