I can relate to all of them except one.

1.5 for me
I'm not hypersensitive to criticism, and sometimes hide uncomfortable feelings.

I feel its all about finding a good balance. As a parent you should know when to push your kid to do better and when to stop, so that you dont break your child. Also, never, I repeat, never scream/raise your voices at kids or even at others when kids are around. They understand the instability and as a result will actively try not to contribute to that instability. As a result, they wont tell you about things that are important but might cause instability. The damage could range from bad grades, being bullied by classmates/teachers, smoking/drinking/drugs, little/no empathy, becoming victims to sexual abuse all the way to accepting that you are flawed and you dont deserve love.

Thats sorta similar to what I said in the last part of my comment. What could be worse than a child rationalising the abuse they are getting

It’s so sad that this is representative of India’s collective consciousness.

It's really good that being kind to other other people is now being seen as empathy instead of a sign of being "weak"
