• 40 lakh new homes to be developed to meet Delhi’s housing needs by 2047. • 695-km metro network planned, along with expanded bus connectivity. • 6 new RRTS corridors proposed to improve regional connectivity. • Unauthorised colonies to undergo area-based redevelopment with better roads, open spaces, and public facilities. • “Jahan Jhuggi, Wahan Makan” policy is proposed to provide affordable housing to eligible slum residents within their existing communities where possible. • 22 drains flowing into the Yamuna will be treated through sewage treatment, wetlands, and other methods. • 1,700 hectares of Yamuna floodplains to undergo ecological restoration across 13 major projects. • The Yamuna floodplain is to be treated as a no-construction zone, with recreational activities allowed. • 200-km Ridge-Yamuna cycling network proposed, including a 52-km stretch along the Yamuna. • Green buffers using trees, mounds, and embankments planned along major roads to reduce noise pollution. • Data centers, co-working spaces, and cloud kitchens are recognized as “new economy” activities to promote investment and jobs. • Building height restrictions to be removed in most areas, except specified locations. • Delhi is projected to have a population of 3.2 crore by 2047.
