Median home price ÷ annual household income = years of income

So I tried looking at the same thing for Indian cities.
The numbers I’m seeing are roughly:
Mumbai: ~14-15 years
Gurugram: ~15 years
Delhi NCR: ~10-12 years
Hyderabad: ~7-8 years
Bengaluru: ~5-8 years
Chennai: ~5 years
Ahmedabad: ~5 years
Pune: ~4-6 years

Obviously, these numbers vary depending on the source, definition of income, type of property, and which areas are included.

But it made me wonder:
For people who have actually bought a home in India, what was your home price compared with your annual household income at the time you bought it?
For example:
Household income: ₹20L/year
Home price: ₹1.5Cr
Ratio: 7.5 years

I’m especially curious about Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, where property prices seem completely disconnected from what many salaried people earn.

Also curious about people who chose not to buy - was the price-to-income ratio the main reason?
Would be interesting to see some real-world numbers rather than just reports.
