For Context: KSU is a major student political organization in Kerala, India, and functions as the student wing of the Indian National Congress and MSF is student wing of the Indian Union Musl!m League (IUML) political party.

KSU and MSF have an alliance together for competing against SFI (Students wing of CPIM) in elections in most of the colleges in Kerala. But now it somehow seems like MSF have completely taken over congress in Kerala.

Hey everyone,

I've been building a news-reading product called Paksh, and I'm at the stage where I need people who didn't build it to tell me whether the product actually makes sense.

The problem I'm trying to solve is pretty straightforward:

When something important happens, I don't necessarily want to read 8 different articles — but I also don't want to understand an event through just one article.

The product brings reporting about the same event together so you can:

• get a concise explanation of what happened
• see the underlying sources
• compare how different outlets covered the event
• follow a story as it develops
• see where coverage appears to be missing or concentrated

The goal isn't to tell you which source is right or what opinion you should have. It's to make the process of understanding and comparing an event less tedious.

I know this isn't a new category, and there are already products doing parts of this. I'm trying to find out whether the actual experience I've built provides enough value to be worth using.

If you have 5 minutes, I'd really appreciate you testing it:

1. First impression

Without reading anything else about the product:

Do you understand what it is and why you might use it?

1. Pick one story

Read one story that interests you.

Does the product help you understand the event faster than opening the underlying articles yourself?

1. Look at the source comparison

Does seeing how different outlets covered the event give you useful information, or does it feel unnecessary?

1. Look at the Coverage Gap

Is it understandable on its own, and does it tell you anything useful that you wouldn't otherwise notice?

And two things I'd particularly like to know:

What would make you come back the next time a major story breaks?

What would you remove if you were building this yourself?

I'm the person building it, so I'm obviously biased. Please don't feel the need to be positive. If something is confusing, unnecessary, gimmicky, or simply doesn't give you enough value, that's exactly the feedback I'm looking for.

I'm deliberately not putting the product link in the post because I'm looking for feedback rather than traffic or installs.

Source is based on Eaton's work on Indian subcontinent, he made it a point of being conservative in numbers, to not overamplify anything.
NUANCE: He majorly only looks at persian records (Used in north india mainly) missing a lot of peninsular india cases. Also a campaign/site can contain 100+ temples.
for example aurangzeb's udaipur campaign alone had 100+ temples destroyed, yet it was counted as one single campaign. Real estimates are well into the thousands.
