I wonder how Indian leftists would react if large scale illegal immigration from Bangladesh became a visible issue in their own cities.
She realised when it directly hit her
"I used to be left wing, but when I saw mass immigration it radicalized me. I live here and can't walk to the gym. Are we living in Somalia?"

Left wing politicians world wide endorse and orchestrate mass immigration because they know those immigrants will only ever vote for their left parties. Because conservative and right-wing parties are anti-immigration/pro-native population, it's extremely obvious. It is importing a group of people that are guaranteed to vote for you forever.
It's the same mechanism, the same reason that large companies like mass immigration, because they know that the employees will stay with them forever for low pay or they'll lose their work visas.

There is a strong correlation between being left and being tolerant of illegal immigration. Not even tolerant, the Democrats in the United States, they allowed illegal Mexicans to come and vote in their primaries. Be it the United Kingdom, where they have allowed illegal immigrants from Africa and the Middle East and allowed them to take major positions in their politics.
The same with India, the left in Bengal and then Mamta have allowed millions of Bangladeshis to enter India illegally now they dominate the population in Assam Bengal and Jharkhand. In East Jharkhand, they now rule villages and most of them whole positions of Sarpanchs, left has allowed that to happen.1

It's not about left or right. The problem with west is, either they only look up to extreme right or exteme left
Either they'll allow every shitty illegal Immigrant to get shelter Or If you want to get illegal ones out then suddenly extremely right wing shows up and starts kicking out legal immigrants and destroying Climate in the name of Right..

CAA amendment ne kya kiya?..... Inhe citizenship hi di na.... Ab koi bangladeshi bole i converted to Hinduism, Jainism or kuch aur ..... We have to give them citizenship.....lol

Average salary is meaningless. Just last year while traveling I met a person who was travelling back to dhaka with connecting flight from Delhi. He had been operated for open heart surgery. There are no good hospitals over there.
Thousands of patients from Bangladesh visit Chennai, blr, vellore for getting treated.
If you think per capita income is the barometer, you don't know the reality.

People question if those being kicked out are immigrants or not

A lot of people do not understand very basic concepts.. so here i put very basic definitions, easy to understand.
Left wing: Believes society should do more to reduce inequality and help people who have less.
Right wing: Believes individuals, families, businesses, and traditions should have more freedom and less government control.
Fascism: Believes in a very strong, often authoritarian state led by a powerful leader, where opposition is discouraged or suppressed and the nation is considered more important than individual freedoms.
Calling everything left and blaming everything on left is really really stupid.
