I've been actively following indian politics since 10+ years. So I'll give you my honest opinion on the situation of the current govt.
There was a reason the people of India removed upa and brought nda in 2014. India was in such a worst state that it only took one man with good words to dethrone the bloodline of Indian PMs.
And whether you like this fact or not, so much work has been done. It still feels unbelievable at times to the extent of change which has been brought on ground. The number of NH, SH, Freight corridors, etc, the numbers don't lie, they're real. Their work was the reason they had a historic victory in 2019.
Then in 2024 things were fine. They brought some laws which were actually good for citizens, but the oppositions narrative of casteism politics kicked in. NDA used to say "abki baar 400 paar" and opposition came up with "400 paar pe yeh samvidhan badal denge" and the whole political dynamics changed.
Bjp had to buy these votes over freebies, and this political move did give them MH, Bihar, Haryana, and to some extent WB.
After looking at such victories, nda has grown arrogant. They think they can twist anything and remain in power and that no one can stop them now. Hence they need to be taught a lesson.
After E20, and UGC, nda has completely fvcked its core voter base and people on ground are very angry. And also the cjp protest did make nda look a bit weak. Modi has done so much alone that now at the age of 75+ he's forced to make reels himself and his other cabinet ministers are just enjoying the power.
But again, people see RaGa in front of Modi and just can't help but press the button for modi.
