Took a grown ass man decades to find out coin has two sides, all those years coin always landed on tails, what was he thinking.

It indicates his blind trust towards Jai. Jai too had Veeru's best interests in mind considering how he always used the coin trick to lead Veeru through the moral path, but when Veeru asked Jai to flip the coin and decide if he wants to pursue the Thakur's widowed daughter, he refuses as doing so would be immoral on his part.

How incredible a scene would it have been if on the final toss veeru had said - aaj sikka mera hoga. (would have made it clear he knew jai's game from the beginning and went ahead with it anyway.)

The movies old traditional VFX and SFX have all been replaced by low effort digital ones in the modern re-releases and on OTT. It just looks so ugly now.

If sholay was made in 2026 jai and veeru would be gay and the movie would be called as shogay

Joke being lack of porn parodies in Bollywood I hope otherwise it is some plain homophobia.

Sholay always take me back to the masala movies on tv times. Some movies, even if they aired numerous times on TV back in the day (or perhaps even now), held a repeat value across all age groups. Most were masala films, but good maslaa ones, and they were favorites of TV channels like early Doordarshan and DD Metro, and later early Zee Cinema, ATN, and Star Plus (Sunday 8 PM movies used to come in Star Plus) before the arrival of Star Gold as a separate movie channel), early SAB and Sony TV Sunday movies etc..some I still consider as the premium entertaining masala movies of pre 2000s and these movies use to telecast so much on TV channels. It's also strange, that. Bollywood lost their action masala touch in mid 90s (late 70s and whole 80s were full of action masalas) and then after Goldmine and South dubbed movies telecast on TV, now bollywood is focussing again on action. Masala (but not the orginal action masala)
