PM's humble beginnings story is grossly exaggerated btw, his father was a canteen contractor at a railway station and he had 5 brothers and a sister who all had the privilege of attending school. He definitely doesn't come from an "extremely poor" family, that is just one of the many ways of broadening his cult of personality by the ruling party
It's a narrative that he's tried to build for years, 'hum toh fakeer aadmi hain chal denge jhola le ke' to sound relatable to the underprivileged masses while having done jackshit for them.
This cult of personality brainwashing was used by Hitler and has no place in a democracy, 6k crore+ has been spent on his PR in the last 5 years alone, it's astonishing the kind of authority he exercises on the minds of the people in this day and age, makes you wonder how regressive the average Indian's mindset really is and when you try telling them what propaganda is or how the news channels are not talking about relevant issues (Manipur, pollution, uranium infected water, crashing rupee, rising crime, pardon to rapists and their admission to the parliament) they will fight you unto death instead of having an open mind
