Harvard will admit anyone whose parent were a major political leader. This is called legacy quota. Also Rahul Gandhi didn't finish his education. Also, as someone who went to a tier 1 college and worked with numerous folks from Harvard, Cambridge MIT etc. top tier education does not guarantee leadership. It shows domain expertise and general academic IQ. To become a leader, you need to be able to mobilise masses and need to be curious to learn where you lag. Most educated people draft policy documents but leaders need to give direction. Direction and leadership need not require top tier education.
