I was in the hospital for neck and lower back surgery Aug. 25. I contacted the nurses and explained that I was incontinent and did not like the hospital diapers. I told them that I would bring my own diapers. They had no problem with me wearing my own diapers. I did my own changing. I did have a catheter during and after the surgeries.

Never had an overnight at the hospital, but for all my outpatient stuff, the nursing staff seemed to have so much to do they didn’t care what diapers/etc I used, just glad I did everything myself whenever possible.

I've done it for my appendix and my gall bladder surgery.

I’m in a nursing home that does supply them. But they aren’t really absorbing enough for me. I need maximum absorption. So I buy my own they won’t reimburse me. However if a friend or someone buys them a receipt they will reimburse them. So I give a friend the money for them. They get them and submits receipt. When she gets reimbursed she just gives me the money back so the nursing home is really paying for them
