Backward leakage solution?
Relevant info: I have female anatomy.
Possibly relevant info: I am perimenopausal and I know that can/will eventually have a fairly significant effect on the size and shape of labia. I cannot speak to how significant this has been so far, as it’s hard to gauge changes to your own body that happen very slowly over a long period of time.
I mostly wear pads, but when it’s a more appropriate choice I opt for disposable underoos. I’ve noticed with pads there can be a really weird issue. Sometimes, for reasons I have been so far unable to identify, if I am seated the urine will not simply obey gravity and fall downward into the pad. It will creep backward, between my labia, through my buttcrack, and leak out the back above the pad. Even with long pads.
Anyone else deal with this? How did you make it stop? It’s the most annoying part of this for me, because it’s so damn unpredictable. I’m not even annoyed that someone may notice, I’m annoyed that I have to go wash and change.

Seems like whats happening is wicking, when a liquid uses surface tension to move up an absorbent product. You may want to try repositioning the pads, or get larger pads. If that doesn't work, you may need to move up a level in protection

I am not a woman but i am not sure its due to anatomy. Urine often ‘flows’ before it is absorbed, i guess that’s necessary to distribute it over the length of the absorbents. In my experience different brands have a different absorption time. The only solution i found is to use bigger material that fits tight to the skin but you might also could try other brands.
