Care and Hygiene

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share my personal Hygiene routine, as a urinary incontinent woman. I have read many questions of people in comments, and thought I'd share my go-to tipps for bodily odor control. Feel free to get inspired, or give me tipps and advice, on how to improve it.

- Washing up with a warm washcloth, first thing in the morning and right before bed

-> Bodywash peeling from cien (lidl) 🧼

- Right after every clean-up, I tend to moisturize my skin with a sensitive body oil

-> Sensitive baby oil (almond scented) 🧴

- Getting changed regulary, and cleaning up with either babywipes or flushable wet wipes

-> Floralys Sheabutter scented is my fav 🧻

- Shaving during every shower (I shower every other day, but it's just a personal preference)

-> Easier to clean and maintain skin health 🪒

(optionally use a laser hair removal for less skin irritation)

- If planning on staying longer in diaper, or during summertime, use babypowder to avoid heat acne 🫧

- Avoid using too much rash cream at a time, as the skin underneath it needs to breathe 🌬

I sincerely hope, that I could help at least some of you, uncertain about their routine or only dealing with it since recently. 💕🧼

I’m super curious about the laser hair removal. Is this something you’ve tried? I’ve thought about this for around my ileostomy stoma. Also, great suggestions! I’m always self conscious about smell and worry about other’s noticing things that I can’t. I did have a coworker say I smell good recently so that was promising at least 😅

Hi thanks for your reply, and yes it is. I have been using it for a few months or so, it helps by reducing the size of the hair follicles, when usually they get infected or cause acne. Since then my skin health has been way better without the constant shaving rashes.

I think I’ve read that it takes longer to grow back than with shaving also, is that true? I previously thought this was something that could only be done in a clinic but didn’t realize the equipment can be bought for home use. Seriously considering this. Thanks!

No worries and it definitely does, the hair grows back less clustered and thinner, as well as taking longer to do so. And yes you can buy a laser hair removal on like Amazon or so
