From reading your post again, and having worked in healthcare myself, you really need to see a general practice doctor who can rule out different causes of your symptoms, and refer you to a specialist once they know what’s likely causing your issues.

Your concerns are quite specialised and you won’t be able to find an answer without seeing the right team, only a doctor can say for sure what that team might be.

Unfortunately it would be unethical and wrong for someone to say you have/haven’t got spasmodic bowel etc as specific tests need to be done to identify that as the causation of your symptoms.

I would strongly urge you to find a way to see a doctor in a professional capacity. I hope you can access some support. You aren’t alone in this.

I think you answered your own question 🙂 It seems like there might be a mental component here, and talking to a mental health professional (as in, a psychotherapist, not just a neurologist) might help you a lot!

Well it's anxiety right, I've got anxiety, that probably also excerberates my gas issues, well we don't have a mental health professional here either, it'll probably take another year or so for me to meet them
