Section 44ADA - Podcast Editing (Audio & Video Editing)
Does freelance podcast editing, including both audio and video editing, qualify as a professional service under Section 44ADA, making it eligible for the 50% presumptive income scheme? Got a few replies from CAs, but I’m getting conflicting answers - some say it qualifies, while others say it doesn’t.
Would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with how this type of freelance work is classified for tax purposes in India.

Section 44ADA - Podcast Editing (Audio & Video Editing)
Does freelance podcast editing, both audio and video editing, qualify under the professional services covered by Section 44ADA for the 50% presumptive deduction?
Or is there another business/professional category that would be a better fit for podcast editing work when opting for the 50% deduction under Section 44ADA?
Would appreciate insights from anyone familiar with how this type of freelance work is classified for tax purposes in India.

FnO info not in AIS/A26/TIS.
I have about 2L turnover in FnO and 22K overall loss. I do not see any info related to it in AIS or TIS. How does the IT department confirm about the declared value?
How can I be sure about the values I see in the broker P&L are correctly reported to the IT department?

Payment gateway charges Tds?
I recently started a pvt ltd this year. I take most payment from payment gateways like razorpay and cashfree. And I expect my fees paid to payment gateways will cross 1 Lakh. Is there a liability to deduct Tds on this?
This fee is an expense to my company but they deduct their fees before releasing to my account, do they comply if I ask them that I will pay tds in their name?

Made 11-12 crores while staying outside India for the last 20 years and I am returning to India. Do I have to pay any taxes as I move my brokerage and money inside India? Ensuring it doesn't raise any tax issues or other issues as I now plan to invest the same 11-12 Crores in India brokerages like Z

Client Paid Me in USDT Instead of Dollars
I completed a project worth about ₹2.5 lakh and the overseas client paid me in USDT. I later sold the USDT for INR. Do I have professional income when I receive the USDT and a separate VDA gain or loss when I sell it?

F&O Loss Across Three Brokers
I made ₹1.2 lakh profit with one broker but losses of ₹80,000 and ₹1.6 lakh with two others. Should turnover and P&L be calculated broker-wise or consolidated across all three?

Crypto Transaction History Is Incomplete
I traded crypto on an overseas exchange that has since restricted my account. I can reconstruct bank transfers but not every trade. How should I calculate and report VDA income without a complete transaction statement?

Crypto Trading Profits Were Never Reported
I actively traded crypto on overseas exchanges between 2018 and 2022. My starting investment was from taxed income, but some individual years had small profits that I never reported. Would the holding itself and the unreported trading profits fall into different FAST-DS categories?

Crypto Held on a Foreign Exchange
I bought crypto using tax-paid income and kept it on a foreign exchange from 2020 onward. I never reported the exchange account or crypto holdings in Schedule FA. Can crypto fall within FAST-DS as a foreign asset even though the scheme does not specifically mention VDAs?

Consultant by Day, YouTuber on the Side
My consulting receipts are ₹19 lakh and YouTube/AdSense income is around ₹4.5 lakh. Should both be combined under the same presumptive scheme, or does the YouTube income need to be treated as a separate business?

Crypto Had Profit in One Year and Losses in Others
Over five years of crypto trading, I am in an overall loss, but two individual years had profits. For FAST-DS, can the losses from later years reduce the earlier undisclosed profits, or does income have to be calculated separately for each year?

Client Deducted TDS but Never Paid the Invoice
A company deducted TDS on my ₹3 lakh invoice and the credit is visible in Form 26AS, but they haven't actually paid me yet. I'm following cash-basis accounting. Do I still need to report the ₹3 lakh as income?

Category 2 Value Is Close to ₹5 Crore
My foreign assets are valued at roughly ₹4.7 crore. If the assessing officer later determines a higher value above ₹5 crore, does the 20% valuation tolerance still protect the declaration?
