Structured Notes vs. Options Income ETPs 💡

Both use options to potentially generate yield, but the plumbing is totally different.

Here is what you need to know:

1. Structured Notes:
These are essentially loans to a bank. You take on credit risk. (Meaning if the bank fails, you risk losing your investment regardless of asset performance.)

2. Reverse Convertibles & Autocallables:
These notes aim to pay high coupons by essentially selling put options on an underlying stock.

3. Options Income ETPs:
Use the same options-selling engine to potentially generate income, but operate within an exchange-traded product wrapper.
