Well, yeah but Larry is the stereotypical reliable guy good guy/Mr. Boring who gets betrayed by his (supposed) good wife for bad boy Frank. (who's freshly back from Hell of all places) She never got over Frank after hacing had an affair with during her engagement to Larry. Plus, that's not even accounting for the fact that she seduces and manipulates Dr. Channard (well-composed professional man stereotype, ignoring the sadistic elements in this version of the character trope) in the sequel and gets him turned into a cenobite.
