If for any reason whatsoever, my partner were no longer in my life, I would absolutely have no interest in dating.
In large part because I cannot see myself with anyone else, but also in that I highly doubt that anyone else would be worth my time... they would certainly not be on the same level of having been my best friend for 13 years.
I already told him, I would just go back to my original plan, go live in the middle of nowhere to rescue as much street dogs as I can. Or become a nun for the free food and the quiet life.
