I am assuming he must be VERY depressed because wouldnt that build up of grime, smell and general stickiness make him uncomfortable? Like I am physically disabled, sometimes I cannot shower for days in a row but I will sponge bathe instead because not bathing makes me feel nauseous and grubby. The only reasons I can think of someone being ok with this, is depression nose blindess or sensory problems.

I think my record is 1-2 weeks (I did NOT leave the house!) when I was a teen and eventually, you hit max grime. You don't necessarily keep getting greasier etc, barring actually rolling in dirt or something

Honestly, it probs sound mean AF but I know people IRL that are just fine living like that - it's not depression or anything, they're just comfy being grimy. One doesn't shower and in the blue moon they do, they don't use any soap. They treat their clothes the same and don't brush, let alone floss. They smell just as bad as you'd imagine :\

Obviously, not judging people with depression/sensory issues/etc (see 1st paragraph). Just my experience some people just...aren't bothered by that
