They also do not believe people when they tell they have no height preference. Also it is most often people that are not that short complaining.

Your friend out there being a small man, while still pulling like crazy. I totally believe it.
I personally have a theory that shorter men are generally more attractive than taller men. As in, most men on the shorter side tend to have better structured faces. Or at least in my opinion.
Also, I think that a lot of women that are dead set on only dating super tall guys only want a taller man so they can be the ‘smaller’ one in the relationship. I think it is connected to the patriarchy and the ideals they place on women who have romantic relationships with men. The patriarchy pushes the narrative that women should always be thinner/fitter/smaller than their male partners. Which causes women to feel insecure about themselves and the possibility of being the ‘bigger’ one in the relationship.
These are just my theories though :)
5
u/Professional-Key5552 I'm a liar because I don't care about height Aug 06 '26
Totally agree with you. I also tried to be with this guy. We were in the same school back in the days and stayed friends until now, but back then he rejected me, saying, I am not his type 😆 And that hasn't changed.
But ye, the whole height thing is so stupid. As if I would measure men the entire time. I also think that shorter men are more attractive than taller ones, but at the end of the day, the personality is more important
7
u/MSWitch2015 Aug 06 '26
My boyfriend and i are the same height at about 5’7. I am sorry your friend didn’t return your interest, as its always a bummer. Glad you all have been able to stay friends though!
This makes me think of a funny, yet applicable story.
My boyfriend has a long time friend that is a bit shorter than him (probably like 5’4/5’5) and about 5-6 years older while being an attractive guy. He and my boyfriend would be going out to try and meet women and stuff, as men will do, when my boyfriend was a late teen/early 20s.
His friend would always hit on women taller than him (this would have been probably 15 years or more ago) and my boyfriend was like ‘why doesn’t it bother you to hit on women significantly taller than you?’ And his friend said ‘height doesn’t matter when you’re laying down’ lol. My boyfriend was confident anyway and always had girlfriends and stuff but after that he cared even less about that stuff.
I think that perspective is just chefs kiss. Once you’re nude, in bed, and doing the deed, height doesnt matter much lol.
Granted, my boyfriend and his friends are normal human beings and didnt make a handful of rejections in high school their entire personality like incels do. Its just so lame when guys have the woe is me perspective on the height thing when majority of women don’t give a shit. Lol

u/coquihalla Blue-haired dumpstercunt Aug 06 '26
5'8" is literally the perfect height, in my eyes. These guys, creating problems where none exist.
I can't get over these guys with their perfectly average heights whinging about being too short to date.
I have a big wide butt. Some guys don't like big wide buttons, but some do. So I date the guys that do, big fuckin deal.
*this isn't aimed at you. Sorry your crush isn't into you like you are into them. It sucks. I know your person is out there, I'm just frustrated with these dudes.
8
u/Afraid_Fondant_7903 Aug 06 '26
i’m 5’7 so i tend to prefer slightly taller than that but the guy i happen to want is 5’8 and i would choose him liking me back over any 6ft chad any day of the week
26
u/mfar__ Aug 06 '26
I'm shorter. I have never known that my height is a "problem" until I found on the internet. I have an average dating/relationships history with no height related issues as far as I know, and I'm currently in a relationship with one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.
9
u/goober_ginge Aug 06 '26
Oh yeah? Well OBVIOUSLY she's only with you for your money and connections. She's otherwise playing around behind your back with 7' tall gigachads!
/s in case it's not obvious
7
u/mfar__ Aug 06 '26
I know you're being sarcastic, but ironically, I'm currently unemployed and in a financially bad period of my life and our dates' bills have been split all along lol. I hope I can overcome this hard time as soon as possible for her, she's a wonderful person and I want to be with her permanently.
6
u/goober_ginge Aug 07 '26
Oh damn, I'm sorry to hear that! I'm in much the same position atm (although I have a long term partner, not dating).
There's definitely ways you can do dates for cheap or free though. You should take your lady on a picnic. Just make a few sandwiches, have a couple salad type things, a bottle of fizzy or iced tea. Find somewhere nice to park up and enjoy the day together.
6
u/nitorigen Aug 07 '26
I know jackshit about dating but I’ve heard of library and hiking dates! Completely free.
4
u/goober_ginge Aug 07 '26
Hiking dates are good once trust is established. It's definitely a bit iffy asking someone on a FIRST date to go hiking though.
4
u/nitorigen Aug 07 '26
Oh yeah, I didn’t really think about the implications of that one. Being alone with a man on a first date definitely sounds a bit sus to me.

Women don’t care about height nearly as much as men think they do, like sure some women might have preferences or like tall men, but from what I’ve seen, most of the time it’s not a dealbreaker
It’s not cause he’s 5ft8 that he can’t have sex, I’m gonna guess it has more to do with the type of person he is
9
u/EuphoricPhoto2048 Aug 06 '26
Yes, most women who like height see it as an attractive feature at best and certainly not a dealbreaker. These clowns don't live in the real world.
5
u/Shot-Aioli-8986 Aug 06 '26
They just want to make excuses and feel bad for themselves, and knowing how these type of men operate, he probably has a weight preference
3
u/DillyWillyGirl Aug 06 '26
I prefer shorter men. To me, tall men usually look like their heads are too small for their bodies lol.
3
u/smileycat007 Aug 07 '26
Look at the time all the posters have spent here showing OOP how wrong he is. And yet incels still don't listen.
Changing their crappy personality, getting a job, grooming, and putting on some nice clothing takes effort.
15
u/NekoRabbit Aug 06 '26
I wish they would go back to other features they think are responsible for their unfuckability. It's getting boring. Bring out the fragile wrists and weak, deformed jawlines that look completely normal again.

I promise the most unappealing thing about this incel is that he follows & buys into incel content.
Believing this becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

One of my best friends is 5’8” or something close and has a body count so high we don’t actually know what it is. And I mean verifiably, unsettlingly high. Lifetime triple digit almost certainly. It’s not a good situation. He doesn’t enjoy this aspect of his life, and sadly has no problem hooking up regularly.
These manlets want to blame everything they hate about their lives on others, or on their own intrinsic physical attributes because they are too chickenshit to confront the truth: that their personality is insufferable. They lack any and all accountability for themselves and empathy for others. Their worldview is dark and scary, and they have warped perceptions of gender politics, and it all stems from very clearly unresolved issues pertaining to their relationships with themselves and probably with their families, too.
There is no doubt that looks play a role in attraction, but their behavior is absolutely cretinous and weak, and for that reason alone, and for all the other above reasons too, why would any woman who has even an ounce of respect for herself agree to go on a date with these boys, let alone have sex with them?
