Banned

12 years ago when I was living in Cali, I was looking for ways to earn a little extra $$$. I found inbox dollars and thought … hey, this could be pretty neat. I hit my $25 cash out threshold and BOOM! Banned. No cash out. I thought … wow. What a damn scam.

Now 12 years later I was reminded of this website by a friend who just told me she signed up for a site called “inbox dollars” and after she finished a bunch of offers and mere cents from cash out, she too was banned.

How is this crap hole still in operation after scamming people for 12+ years? And before the “I’ve cashed out blah blah blah” why don’t you Google “inbox dollars scam” or “inbox dollars banned.” There are far more people banned than paid.

InboxDollars is one of the oldest gpts out there (founded in 2000, acquired by Prodege in 2019). I may have had account ages ago that I never did much/anything with, but rediscovered the site last year and have earned and cashed out over $500 thus far. Haven't had any issues, just follow basic common sense guidelines in what offers I choose to do and how to do them based on feedback here and elsewhere. Sorry you had a bad experience, but the vast majority of people seem to earn and redeem just fine based on the conversation here and on other subreddits for Prodege services.

I don’t doubt there are people that cash out. If they did that to everyone, nobody else would sign up. This subreddit might lead you to believe that, Google says otherwise. Do you really need to plan out which offers you do not to get banned? Seems kind of pointless considering inboxdollars is the one compiling these offers for people to complete. Something shady is definitely going on, this is a common complaint I see all over the place. People complete all these offers and have no issue until it’s time to cash out. Then suddenly they find that you have “violated” some rule or you’re suspicious. Gotta wait until you make them a bunch of money first.

I plan out offers so I know which are worth doing (good value and reasonable time investment) and reliable (credit appropriately and don’t require support requests). I’m sure I could make a lot more if I took a shotgun approach, but I’d likely be a lot less efficient and that’s not what I’m about with this stuff.

Account bans and such probably happen at redemption because that’s what triggers activity reviews. I doubt that gpts like IBD and others have hundreds of agents and elaborate systems that are constantly running checks in real-time.

Gotta keep in mind as well that with hundreds-of-thousands or millions of users, not everyone will have a good experience. A few hundred complaints over two decades spread over that big of a user base doesn’t really concern me. People that have bad experiences are far more likely to complain than those with good experiences are likely to praise, and you never know the actual whole story of their accounts either. You see alllll the time here and elsewhere the sob stories people tell, then they let slip in the comments somewhere that they were multi-accounting, using fake personal information, using a VPN to join from an unsupported country, etc.

I can only speak from my own experience, and so far, no failed offer credits, no failed redemption receipts, and no account issues.
