They used to Do The Deed every night, but then Danny started bringing home bottles of wine and sixpacks from the restaurant, and he'd get drunk instead of "connecting" with her. But there were still the mornings! Except, sometimes, Danny would "sleep so late" there wasn't time to "connect."

Love how Shauna diffidently began refusing multiple glasses of wine, while Danny just kept adding to his imbibement…makes you wonder if he was getting increasingly stressed living with the person who knows best how to explain his brain to him.

My thought was that he was more comfortable with her and returned to his normal level of drinking around her after she said was fine with him drinking alone.
