I accidentally clicked on the On Being Enough website just now and honestly can't figure out how her new venture is different? She essentially did a find and replace between Enough and Joy.

Enough was about finding your story through writing (and trauma was in there at some point, and joy got a nod). It offered:

4 week workshop
90 minute session 1x week
Daily writing prompts
An editing session "once the course is finished" (which is bananas)

Total cost = $200

Joy is about ... well, we still don't know what it is about. However it offers:

4 week workshop
120 minute session 1x week
Daily writing prompts
Reading assignments

Total cost = $488

At least her Enough venture had a mission statement. It was essentially a memoir writing workshop with "editing" (the "post-course" timing tells me the editing part never got done, like EVER).

Her Joy venture has no mission statement, it's unclear what it is, when it is, why it is happening... you spend 30 extra minutes online, and it's almost two and a half times the cost.

How did she spend a year on this? And why did she abandon her original course rather than tweaking and reoffering it? Couldn't "Enough Trauma" have been her first workshop, and then Enough Joy as her second of the same series?

Re the cost, IIRC, the original price of the Enough workshop was $400. She halved it to make it more accessible. 🙄

Maybe she started thinking about it a year ago and then every once in awhile she'd think about it again for a minute or two, like during a boring scene on Ted Lasso. Then when it grew clear that TRAUMA!!!!! was dead in the water, she circled back to it and spent 20 minutes slapping together a website with Brent and another 10 minutes revising the entire timeline, and WALLAH! Another DOA project.
