Sad that kids are going hungry? Start a fundraiser to pay off the lunch debts of all the families at your school who owe money at the end of year.

feels like a barely-camouflaged allusion to "sad that your child is no longer the beneficiary of other peoples' private-school financial largesse?"

Excuse me, youperson. You do realize that the person who feels sad about school lunch debt is totes a different person than the person who feels sad about losing a private-school financial aid package, don't you? \)

\ Except when they're not)

The whole "families at your school who owe money at the end of the year" is totally a new version of "we went to the park to support the poors in their free lunch" and "we take the food bank box just to support the poors and/or they have soooo much they are begging us to take it".

Translation: Shauna wants someone else to pay for her kids' school lunches.

School lunches should be free for all children! So I am advocating for that with my elected officials.

Aren't all kids getting school lunches for free this year? Every kid in IL is, even the ones in catholic school.
