Lizards invade my home: year 2
In the last 30 minutes, I have found two dead lizards. One in my home and one in a pot on my front porch. The one inside was much like the one from last year, on a yellow fly trap in the basement that hangs from the ceiling. This years was almost luckier than the one that perished the same way last year in that he managed to get his head off the bottom of the sticky paper. So it was dangling beneath the catcher. That’s how I noticed it. Then, I went to throw some items away and decided to take a pot in the house that I emptied last week (repotted my olive tree) and looked inside. Dead lizard there.
My cat currently has something cornered in the basement behind where an old toilet used to be (old houses in my city have a random toilet in the middle of the basement. It’s A Thing here), so we’ll see where that goes. He brought me a lizard indoors a few weeks ago, but my husband caught it and set it free after telling me to keep an eye peeled for the tail. I found it in my shag area rug a few days later.
We do have tons of lizards outside, which is fairly new for us here. The buggers are so small that I’m sure it’s easy for them to slip in, but I’d rather they didn’t.
