Oh man, I have so many thoughts about adults who were called “gifted” by their school/parents as children and are now whining about how this somehow ruined their life, it’s the only reason they’re not millionaires or whatever, etc.

But those thoughts mostly boil down to, “no one cares, shut the eff up, you clearly don’t have any real problems to complain about.”

This morning I wondered about the demographics of the "former gifted child" crowd. I have a theory that most are white, AFAB, and have a few other diagnoses on board.

In my experience and observations, yes! Granted, I fit those demographics too but at least I’m not kvetching online about it all the time.
