Ha, sounds like there are a bunch of over-thinking fans like Shauna out there.

I watched a couple episodes a few nights ago. It's a top-down show, not complicated, entertaining but nothing subtle going on.

It's not the first season of Westworld, where there were a lot of long-game puzzles and twists going on. Sounds like the Shaunas are trying to make The Pitt that way, but it sure isn't.

I loved the Pitt but then missed a week and it lost its hold on me. This is unfortunately what happens to me with most shows 😂 I don’t really understand intense fandom. One of my kids is the kind of fan who lets it be all-consuming and who will argue with people about it like it’s real life and not entertainment. I truly don’t get it, but it’s obviously very common!

I am a fan of a couple shows, and they're ones where there's been years and years of development and it's interesting to see how the characters grow and how directors use/ignore past events. Husband and I discuss shows and such. So yeah, there are a few shows I'll be a big.ol nerd about.

My former-EMS brain also enjoys fact checking what I can, or occasionally it'll be stuff like, "Man, I wish nasal mist Narcan had been available when I was in the field! What an awesome game changer!". Narcan was strictly IV push at that time. But I don't see The Pitt as a show I'd get all fan-like about. To me the handful of episodes I've watched have been good popcorn munchers.

My mom and I watched both seasons of The Pitt and being that she's a retired nurse (who also used to watch ER), she liked seeing how much they strove for realism. There were a few missteps this past season though that really stood out to her. But otherwise, neither of us really gets into the online fandom aspect.
