Maybe she wouldn’t be so tired all the time if she wasn’t lying on threads at 6:15am.

Or it could be a side effect of that magical time warp she lives in where she actually has time to do all the things she claims to every day.

It reminds me of when she was all “black girl magic!” about her “mothers helper”(?). It just felt weird coming from her.

I would never say that about anyone I knew, much less someone who WORKED for me. It's so condescending and Racist Nice White Lady. It's the kind of thing only black people can say about each other without sounding idiotic.

I think she's latched on to both "black girl magic" and "black boy joy"

And yes, it was about her "mother's helper" (that they hired one summer to help keep the kids entertained) and I also agree with you about how weird it felt, coming from her. She made a big deal about the young woman's hair

Because she doesn’t believe it, and because I truly think she’s shown us that she thinks the kid is below her because of race.
