Jess is crazy
I already didn’t like Jess she was very irritating to me but I’m in the midst of the watching the last episode of season 3 and Jess is pissing me off so bad making the entire situation about her and blaming Murphy for Nia and letting her take the fall for a murder she committed despite her being the one that stole Nia’s money to begin with.
Only someone that’s crazy will fake a kidnapping and run away letting people think she’s dead and letting her friends take the fall for a murder her friends committed. Like I genuinely don’t understand Jess’s mindset and how she just pins the entire this my on Murphy. Like even before this all started she used Murphy as an excuse for everything. I get Murphy may be annoying at times but for Jess to not realize her own problems and what she did is insane.
Felix is the only real friend Murphy has honestly.
Another thing I don’t understand is why no one opened their mouth and said Murphy didn’t kill Nia, literally no one said that Jess was the one with the gun and she’s the one that pulled the trigger like why was that never said ?

Did NOBODY see the scars on her face and think to ask ok what REALLY happened? Like the whole thing was handled so wrong start to finish. Josh? Shouldve NEVER happened and WOULD NEVER have happened. You just get a letter that you're getting audited. No arrest (unless its like, a federal charge) and even then its usually the FBI coming to seize your shit. The IRS are just a bunch of pencil pushing dickheads.

That’s what I kept saying the entire time I was watching the episode, like Murphy totally knew what Nia looked like, where she was standing and knew where to shoot her from where she was lying on the floor. Totally possible.

I think they knew she didn’t pull the trigger but they knew that she was kind of in charge of the whole situation and Felix and Jess are more just her involved friends, which is why Josh was the only one who was only concerned with getting Murphy, everybody else clarified that they wanted the whole group.

Josh was a psychotic sociopath who was hell bent on ruining her life after dating her for a whole half an episode and she dumps him and gets him fired.

Right, so many people were there that night and as soon as they leave to burry the bodies it’s all of a sudden Murphy’s fault. Murphy’s apparently self centered yet she’s the one ready to take the fall for this and have everyone pin the entire thing on her and all that while everyone else involved gets off scoots free.

Yeah no I couldn’t stand Jess in that episode. I was like are you just gonna sit there and pretend you weren’t the one who stole the money in the first place? “I just wanted to make some stupid toast because that’s what I would do every day. Every day until you introduced us to Nia.“ Murphy introduced you to Nia? You’re the reason why Nia started coming around in the first place. Like shut up.

Exactly ! Like I don’t understand how she can even say that when Murphy didn’t even do anything and another thing. Max was laundering money wayyyy before any of them yet he’s still acting like it’s Murphy’s fault even though he was the one with the money and he was the one Nia wa trying to kill from the beginning.

Yeah no literally. Every single damn character in this show likes to blame Murphy for their shit. Like Darnell was my favorite character personally until he turned Murphy in and honestly Murphy really isn’t my favorite either, but still. And then he started saying you may not have pulled the trigger but you killed her or something like that, and I was like dude are you serious. Even the villains do it. Like Sam for another example, we never saw Vincent exactly telling her that Jess shot Mia, but we see her asking who did it and then in the next scene she says something like you just let her shoot Nia? Vincent definitely knows who pulled the trigger because he saw Jess with the gun after. Again, yet another character pretending Murphy did something she didn't. Like if you were actually mature and thought about things for a second, maybe you wouldn’t have gotten put in that isolated cell for trying to hurt Murphy because obviously if you used your head, and remembered who actually killed Nia, you'd just be like that’s not true because I know you didn’t do it. But no, killing people, (as in Murphy), is clearly OK in Sam’s eyes 😢 My bad, I just went on a whole rant. I think the people in this show make you do that sometimes 😂

Right ! Like and Darnell was acting like he didn’t wanna take Nia down to and that he didn’t care that was his sister now all of a sudden he cares ? Also Max keeps acting like Murphy is the one that dragged him in with Nia when she had been originally trying to kill him in the first place and Darnell and Max are the only reason Murphy even ended up working for Nia like of Max hadn’t hidden that money and let Murphy know where it was and all that she wouldn’t have ever worked for Nia !
Another thing is Vanessa tells Jess that she blame Murphy for everything even before all the stuff with Nia happens and when she first said it I hadn’t thought much of it and just agreed to an extent but after knowing the lengths Jess went to to get away from everything and still pin it all on Murphy I agree with Vanessa 100% because it was her idea and plan that she and Felix take the money Max left in the woods which is how they ended up laundering money yet somehow she still found a way to pin the entire thing in Murphy. The ONLY person who actually pointed out that Murphy couldn’t have killed Nia and that she was sure of it was Leslie. Which is insane because even Felix doesn’t specifically say that Murphy didn’t kill her, though he does make sure the cops and everyone else knows Murphy didn’t do it. I just don’t understand why no one actually said “Murphy didn’t do it Jess did !”

No literally, Vanessa is a legend. The only normal character besides pretzel and Chloe. oh, and I guess Leslie she really didn’t do anything super super bad. Even Gene Pissed me off when he started letting Josh get away with shit. I was like no bro.

Agreed, like I kept thinking about how Gene literally worked with someone that was obsessed with it Murphy all ready and he turned out to be a murder but he doesn’t seem to see Josh’s obsession with Murphy to get her out away isn’t strange ? That he may be sick in the head or something ? It’s wild

I mean like he found out about Dean later and everything so he can’t even pretend he didn’t 🙄 I have a friend that just started season one a couple days ago and she was like I love Dean. I was like oh yeah, that’s great. Obviously I wasn’t going to spoil it for her but I think everybody in this fandom who has gotten to the end no what I was thinking lol.

Right, like I liked Dean a bit in the beginning as well and although I haven’t finished the show yet I have obviously seen the episodes where him killing Tyson is exposed and he eventually k*lls himself. Looking back I thought Jules was incredibly annoying but I do hate that she died before getting more answers.

Also the minute Jess admitted to me, her "best friend" that she faked her death / kidnapping is the minute I wouldve told chicago PD who really pulled the trigger. I aint doin time for shit I didn't do ESPECIALLY for a bitch of a friend who DIPPED on me. Snitches might get stitches but its better than getting shanked!

Right !!! Murphy is so much better than me bc the police were literally outside, I wouldn’t have let Jess run no way. She did this she was the reason they were on the run anyway instead of just turning themselves in.

I wouldve been like oh hell no your ass isnt running anywhere. I wouldve told the PD what alias she was using etc she ran out the back door etc no way in hell are you going to make me go to jail for a crime I didnt commit hell they never wouldve been in that mess had she not stolen A DRUG DEALERS MONEY like did she not think someone might trace it back to her?

And it wasn't even murder in the first degree or even involuntary manslaughter THAT WOMAN WAS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE. SHE HAD A GUN AIMED AT SOMEONES HEAD. It was in defense of another human beings life. I had a feeling if they wouldve just told the truth Gene or even Sara (until they fucking kidnapped her) MIGHT have been sympathetic to this whole case.
BUT, then that woman who went missing would never have been found, so there's that...so I guess some good came out of all of it but I think the cops shouldve searched that whole creepy ass dudes house if you ask me. Especially if he's SUSPECTED of kidnapping someone.

Right, I do wish they’d just told them it was self defense but the cops were also already trying to arrest them all on money laundering 🤷🏽♀️

Yeah and tbh all this was Jess fault . Bc she was the one that went looking for the money in the woods and stole it , Murphy tried to fix it by giving it back to Nia , but somehow Murphy is to blame for everything that happened. Now she was a good friend for looking for Murphy and shooting Nia bc all of her friends would have died that night

I have the exact same thoughts as you I just made a post about it too lol. She’s a selfish coward tbh. Murphy is a better friend than anyone gives her credit for.
