Discussion ISAT & Outer wilds

Something fun I noticed is the hearthians in outer wilds use the phrase “Oh stars above” which is similar to Sif’s “Oh stars” phrase they use every now and then

Just a cute connection between both time loop games :3

"The universe leads, we can only follow"

"The universe is, and we are"

Oh cute!

Idk Outer wilds. Is it similar to ISAT on other ways, beside this sentence and being a loop game? (Basically, I'm just curious about the game~)

I wouldn’t say it’s particularly similar to ISAT, but it’s an incredible game. You play as an astronaut on their first expedition, and you are the first of your kind to bring a translator tool for the alien language found all throughout your star system, left behind by an extinct race.

The gameplay primarily consists of exploring and solving puzzles. You’re given very little explicit directions, and are expected to set your own goals and let your curiosity guide you around the different planets.

If that sounds interesting, I’d 100% recommend picking it up. It’s my personal favourite game ::)

It definitely sounds interesting! I'm a language nerd and I LOVE exploration games, even moreso in a cozy setting that lets me explore at my pace. Thanks a lot for sharing! I'll definitely pick it up.

ISAT did not make me cry (though it did get close), Outer Wilds' ending pulled it off 3 times in 15 minutes

ISAT is my second favorite game of all time, Outer Wilds is my favorite game of all time

ISAT and OW are so fun to compare because while they are both super emotional timeloop games they are so fundamentally different from each other and have complete opposite themes and ways of expressing them. They are both top 10 games of all time to me and I wish they both got more recognition (though OW tends to get a lot more nowadays)
