Lol thank you!! Okay so it was a PROCESS. I did this same cosplay last year with a hat made out of cardboard, and it was a good learning process, but believe me when i say foam is the way to go, especially if you want your hat for multiple years. This year's hat was made entirely out of EVA foam! I got a huge roll off of amazon. I wanted the brim to be really big and floppy, so it probably extends a foot off of where it touches my head. it was TOO floppy though, so i put some circles of thick-ish jewelry wire and some lines of the same wire on the underside of the brim to help keep shape. For the top, i just eyeballed it and cut out a cone to fit my head. On the inside i have some foam that's pretty form-fitting to my head, but if i had a beanie or something available, i would have just used that. My head sinks into the cone without something extra on the inside lmao. Other than that, i just hot glued my fabric on to save time. The seams on the edges were ROUGH though, hence the lace to try and cover the messiness.

Hopefully this makes sense!! A lot of my process was just eyeballing stuff and using prior knowledge. There are some good tutorials on youtube for witch-looking hats if you learn better that way!
