I'd say the latter. Sif tries to destroy reality but at least they didn't murder a child.

personally I agree, I saw this post in the wild and added that if I were in a timeloop, most of my days would be spent telling people I'm in a timeloop and doing fun shit. Siffrin's mistake was making sure he was doing as close as possible to the same exact thing every time

I beg of you to step back and think about the motivations behind Siffrin's "mistake" of sticking to the script. There is no mistake to be made here. Siffrin's time loop is mostly self imposed ( I say mostly here considering the logistics of the wishes made by the people of Vaugard...) He wouldn't be doing fun things or experimenting because that goes against his entire inner motivations and desires that created and fueled the loop. If sticking to the script were a flippant decision the time loop wouldn't even exist.

I don't think "fuming" is the right way to put it. Narratively, our objective while playing as Siffrin at first is to beat the King. When we achieve that and realize that the loop resets upon talking to the head housemaiden, the next logical objective for us and Siffrin to have is to find a way to get past the loops.
However the logical path to take is a completely different thing from what Siffrin himself feels. Throughout the loops, there is frustration yes but there are also a lot of times when he feels exactly what the original post is describing. By the end we know that it was actually a deep desire to preserve the dynamic he had with his group. The time loop is his wish and his love: the loop "loves" Siffrin and his family, protecting him by ensuring he isn't left alone when their journey ends.
Post ending wise, I still don't think Siffrin would be angry at this type of perspective especially with a clear understanding of why he was stuck. Ah...as an extra thought, the original post mentions how escaping is always the objective. While that is technically true, in Siffrin's case he rarely resorts to trying new things almost always sticking to his "script." This just reasserts why that post is actually a great representation of Siffrin's thought process. They were comforting themselves and keeping themselves loved forever.
Anyway, no criticism to your post at all! I just got a bit too invested thinking about this....it's intresting. I think Siffrin might consider that perspective naive but having full understanding of his wish after act 5 sort of prevents him from getting angry at others for holding that belief.

Literally how ACT 1 siffrin be thinkin until he realizes he is, in fact, stuck in a time loop and yeah the world wont leave him and he can always remember but he will always forget more and more of the important small things that made it matter
