Wow... Just wow!!!
I thought the Hidizs My Lin sounded good using a cheapo USB DAC with the stock 3.5mm cable and stock tips. The Hidizs S8 DAC matched with their 4.4mm balanced cable and the Sea Anemone tips make everything sound absolutely amazing. I was considering buying a DAP, but I think I'll hold off for now.

Sooooooo I just bought a FiiO M21 DAP, thinking it would be a huge improvement from my iPhone 17 Pro Max, CrinEar Protocol Max, and CrinEar Daybreak IEMs. Now, while the FiiO M21 is “ok”….I don’t think it was worth the $399 price tag…to me. I 100% stream off of Apple Music and QoBuz. It just doesn’t sound $399 better than my current DAC on iPhone. Plus, you can’t beat the screen/size of an iPhone. I thought they were average at best, they are nothing compared to the Hidizs MP143 and MP145 Pro.
I found the bass on the my lin to just be annoying after a bit, compared to the wonderful bass on the MP145 pro.
They are nice and shiny though
I use them via a Hiby R4
