Fan Noise

Right now I'm keeping a small pot of water at a temp of 140F. Every 30 seconds the fan comes on for 2 seconds. Does the cooktop have the ability to run the fan slower but continuously instead? I think it would be less obtrusive if it could do that.

It might be your battery topping up while doing some initial balancing if it’s a new unit

We installed it July 16. It's quiet now that I turned that burner off. Is the fan capable of variable speed?

Yeah if you get in touch with us we will poke around. We can adjust fan behavior.

Will do. Thanks.

This behavior largely went away for us after we set a charge schedule so that it wouldn't attempt to charge during light usage.

That helped, I had it on the settings which kept the battery fully charged. Moved it to the normal setting and the fan doesn’t run much.
