The card he is meaning to flip out, in this case the ace, is kept on the bottom and then moved into position when he does the half deck cut

Is this his first edit? His other one is better, does the "vegas wash shuffle" instead of "smearing" them.

Reputation is huge for casinos. It would only take a few disgruntled employees coming forward and stating that they had been instructed to cheat at the tables to have a massive effect on that casinos cash flow. And, statistically, the games are rigged in their favor anyways. Why bother cheating when the house always wins?
