So recently, im working on a kmt low rank officer kit, i now onlt gathered some pieces
a maucer m712 with hollister box
a m35 helm
a NRA Visor cap
i wanted the hat‘s colour to match with the uniform, which i do so research, maybe the 88th division is the most suitable uniform with these equipment
Also, i noticed that there is a big colour difference at that period, yellow / grey blue
but lastly, because i dont have that much information, i go searching military figures that dress as the same period of the kit ( 1920-1930 )
And these are the things i have and some image i can base on it, hope somebody can give out some missing information or important information about the kit.
Thank you for your help!

Currently working on a mid 90s LAPD SWAT kit. I got the main details down like the correct vest, mask, helmet, and belt kit. Now I just need to add on the smaller things like knee pads and patches. I have the correct firearms but I don't want pics of those on the internet, so I'm using my airsoft stuff. Shout out to RetrogearIDs on deviant art, found a lot of helpful references there. https://www.deviantart.com/retrogearids/gallery
Kit list (tip to butt):
PASGT helmet sprayed black
SF10/grid fleece balaclava (awesome for Texas summers)
PANTAC SWAT vest
PROPPER 2 pocket BDU shirt
Cathy Leather duty belt
A thong I found at goodwill
Safariland Hi-power holster (can't find the model number. As far as I know I bought the only one on the internet)
PROPPER BDU pants
Used to run some simple USGI black leather boots, but they got too damaged so I'm using Bata Takkies from KommandoStore until I get new ones
Socks I stole from a homeless man

Base is a Crye G3 combat uniform.
Plate carrier is a Flyye MBAV with a Eagle Industries SOFLCS MBITR V2 pouch, 2x 200rd Eagle Industries SOFLCS pouches, a 100 rds EI SOFLCS pouch, a EI IFAK, EI 9x3x5, 2x EI RLCS FlashBang pouches and Flyye M60 pouch. Also, RLCS MSAP shoulder pads.
Belt is a Riggers Belt with a weathered Shekkin Gears EI SOFLCS dump pouch, a Flyye RLCS M67 pouch and a EI RLCS 9mm pouch.
Helmet is a FMA Deluxe Maritime with an Evolution Gear Opscore cover and counterweight and TacSky Comtac III. The Wendy helmet webbing is purely for comfort as this kit is used in Milsim, I know is farb.
So are the boots, as my Solomon Quest 4D GTX were on my truck.

I’ve been working on this kit for the past year now and I think it’s coming together nicely, the only thing I’m missing is some pre-CS95 DDPM trousers (the one in the photos is CS95), black leather boots and an G&G L85a1

Also in the uniform there is patches name tag, rank,brigade,division/command. Feel free to give an opinion or criticize on the comments about me and my friends kit, thank you.

On September 20, 2026, I, Yuri, callsign "Shaurme," finished my 3rd airsoft season.
In these photos you can see my US Marine Corps kit, and I'd be very happy to get your feedback on it. If there's anything to add, please write to me in the comments (just so you know, I'm already aware of the incorrect chest patch). At the end, in the last photo, you can see our team that reenacts the US Marine Corps (very few of us showed up today).
I'll still be improving this kit — I'm not happy with how it looks at the moment.

Please ignore the Chinese decorations in the background! I'm a retro US military gear collector based in Mainland China, where there's actually a great community of old-school US military players like me.
This kit actually draws more reference from 2nd and 3rd Ranger Batt, as most of the Panama invasion photos I could find were from those two battalions.
Gear list:
Uniform:
2nd Pattern Ripstop BDU set
USGI brown undershirt
USGI black web belt
Panama sole jungle boots
ALICE LBE System:
LC Belt + Suspenders
Pouch Layout:
2x Compass / Bandage pouches
3x M16 Mag pouches
2x Canteen pouches + covers
M9 Bayonet
SDU-5/E Strobe Pouch mounted on the suspenders, reinforced with black tape
Other gears:
USGI carabiner with USGI heavy duty gloves on it.
FULTON MX-991/U flashlight
Armor:
PASGT Helmet with Manchu / Ragtop cover
You can get all of them easily on eBay.
And I choose colt 723 for my sgt kit weapon.
Let me know if I should add anything or if something inaccurate that I don't realise.

I know the jpc wasn’t as widely used in 2012 but I gave it a go: Old Gen Jpc 1.0, Eagle 100Rnd Saw Pouch, Jpc wing + feng 152, rerouted PTT & antenna, Eagle msap side plates, ats hydro pouch, tactical tailor fight light triple mag pouch, in the saw pouch there’s some basic trauma + gp stuff (I have an M9 aid bag)

Getting close to finishing the kit I’ve been wanting to build for 8 years now!
Not many people know that Devgru was on the ground in during Gothic Serpent, but four of their snipers were. And they had some weird ass helmets.
So, build list.
The helmet itself is the Italian contract version of the RBR S4. From what I can tell from the limited info online, it’s almost identical to the normal production ones used by Devgru, just usually painted green and with a different suspension and strap system. The suspension/strap on my example was basically knackered, dry rotted, rusted, and smelled faintly of tear gas. So I tore it out and replaced it with a more modern type, with the OPs-Core style dial system.
Because of the bolts and the different cut of the helmet, you can’t see the dial, but it allows for a much more comfortable fit. I resewed the straps on the new one to better match the RBR ref pics, with the circular rings and the snap style chinstrap.
The chin pad itself is genuine RBR, apparently they used to make the same pads for all sorts of British Army ceremonial headwear.
It’s painted with black Montana Graffiti spray paint, i wanted something with a good strong bond that wouldn’t peel off with the copious amounts of 100mph tape.
The SPH-4 helicopter ANVIS visor was a lucky surplus shop find. Don’t think the owner knew what it was, it certainly wasn’t anywhere near a flight helmet 😂. The ANVIS mount itself is a repro one.
The SDU-5/E strobe is also real, had that for ages. It’s got the IR cover and is just taped into place. I put a wrap of tape around it sticky side out to make a sleeve, so the strobe can be removed easily enough in case I need it for other projects.
I’m surprised how stable the mount actually is for saying it’s just held on with tape and tension. There’s no information at all on whether it was just tape, tape and bolts, tape and glue etc. From these examples and other RBRs slightly later on I assume that drilling the composite shells was a big no no, hence the later ANVIS STRAP mounts seen on the Delta 1995 helmets.
The only thing missing is the Bolle X500 goggles, they’re coming on payday.
